I was in Munich for three days last month on vacation, and this was one of my stops. I am a private pilot who likes airplane museums. The museum is just north of Munich, perhaps a 15-20 minute ride on the S1 train. When you...More

Even if you are not an aircraft enthusiast, this museum offers exhibits from the early times of flying to space rockets for all ages. There are quite a few attractions for children and adults alike. Better still combine it with a tour through Unterschleißheim Palace.

Was a very interesting place to visit for anyone interested in Aircraft History, or in flight in general. Went Solo as I was more into flight than my partner that was more interested in the Schloss down the street. Aircraft ranged from early gliders to...More

I've visited some good air museums in the UK (e.g. IWM Duxford and RAF Hendon) and this is of a similar standard, if a little more manageable as it's smaller. Easy to park, and not expensive. Some great planes that I haven't seen in the...More

We caught the train out here. Hubby is an aviation buff and really enjoyed it. I found it very interesting. We spent 2-3 hours here. Didn’t see any cars but there was a wide variety of aircraft, some with very interesting stories.

Very nice exhibition of some modern aircraft with a mix of some very very old ones. Building has a lot of history too. Kind of strange to get to by car. The signs are a bit nebulous but we got here!!

Flugwerft Schleissheim is an aviation museum that is a branch of the Deutshes Museum. It complements the aircraft exhibits at the main museum. It is in the German town of Oberschleißheim about a 30-minute bus ride from Munich. The 80,000-square foot museum is on the...More

There where two cockpits that the kids could get in and dream that they where flying. Lots of plains to look at and two that you could walk in and explore. Good for kids of all ages.
