Beautiful caves you can enter paying 6€ there be a guide that will take you for a tour and talk to you about how the cave was formed about the fauna. After you finish the tour you can pay 5€ to go to the other...More

A ticket to get into the cave costs EUR 6 for an adult. I rather advice to spend it on something else. The cave is not very spectacular, the guide only speaks italian and you're out in no time.

If you do like caves, this is a big cave and you get to go close to the stalagmites and stalactites. And our guide was charming and had good English. But we had to wait around for the tour to start, and then as a...More

There is great parking and good access to the cave although there are a lot of steps. The guide was informative and the group was small enough for you to hear and see the points of interest. There was a particularly unusual wall daubed with...More

There are other grottos in Puglia but this is the most famous around Castro. We were sorry to not have grandchildren with us because it's always interesting to see such sights through their eyes ( and comments!)

The Grotta has a local history and is quite different from other caves visited in other parts of the world. The guide was very good and spent some time with us as it was very quiet that day. We enjoyed the short path were you...More

I am genuinely baffled by the positive reviews for this rip off 'attraction'. There are very few stalactites/stalagmites and they are very uninteresting and dirty-coloured. Our guide didn't speak any English so we had the experience of standing around underground in almost complete darkness with...More

I have been to the Grotta before and had an amazing trip. We went again with friends and I realised how much difference a good guide makes. We were rushed through, the guide spoke very little English and told us very little. Having been before...More
