There are other grottos in Puglia but this is the most famous around Castro. We were sorry to not have grandchildren with us because it's always interesting to see such sights through their eyes ( and comments!)

The Grotta has a local history and is quite different from other caves visited in other parts of the world. The guide was very good and spent some time with us as it was very quiet that day. We enjoyed the short path were you...More

I am genuinely baffled by the positive reviews for this rip off 'attraction'. There are very few stalactites/stalagmites and they are very uninteresting and dirty-coloured. Our guide didn't speak any English so we had the experience of standing around underground in almost complete darkness with...More

I have been to the Grotta before and had an amazing trip. We went again with friends and I realised how much difference a good guide makes. We were rushed through, the guide spoke very little English and told us very little. Having been before...More

I thought the Grotto Zinzulusa tour was fascinating. You walk about 300 feet deeper into the grotto, always watching your step or ducking your head. The payoff at the end is superb, an opening called the cathedral. BUT, if you're the least bit claustrophobic, this...More

We've seen grottos, but this was pretty cool, even with an unintelligible ( to us) Italian guide. Worth a visit.

Great little visit. We visited in May, we were told that in the peak of summer they do tours of 80 people - personally I don't think I would enjoy it as much with that volume of people.

We went to visit the cave and it was quite interesting. Recommend you go on a boat to see around it. Price was 6 EURO per adult.

Amazing place. So pure, so natural. With the sea, the rock, just perfect for a fresh walk into the earth :)
