My son surprised me with the gift of seeing the Chinese Lantern Festival at the Botanical Gardens. We arrived several hours prior to our set time (7:30pm) so that we could meander through the gardens. The gardens were lovely but not as well maintained as...More

It takes much more than a few hour visit to explore this amazing setting. The pond area is a lovely place to just bring a book and or daydream. The Chinese lantern festival going on till the end of this month is spectacular.

This is one of the favorite gardens that I have visited, and I do love a beautiful garden! The layout is easy to navigate and there are many places to sit and enjoy the space.

Must pre-book an entrance. The light/lantern festival is amazing!!! The long dark path to the aboriginal light exhibit was just barely worth the light show. The extended path to the Japanese garden is way too long. Just route us to the Japanese garden light show....More

I would agree with another reviewer that this is probably not the place for teenagers, but for little ones there are playgrounds and the Insectarium. The gardens ranged from an Arboretum to food to native plants to Japanese to desert to Chinese. There was also...More
