Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Enjoyed the atmosphere of this smaller theater and the excellent shows that we were able to see, as part of the George Bernard Shaw Festival.

A very lovely theatre at 85 Queen Street. We of course were running late, what should have been a nice 15 minute walk, turned into a hectic search for parking. We made the performance, possibly the last two in the door, the nice lady who scanned out tickets said, "The man with the best shirt is the last one in." I am guessing she liked my vintage Tommy Bahama shirt. The sets on stage were incredible, it consisted of a two tier box, with audience members sitting in seats up on stage, it looked like 4 on each level on both sides. The cast were in conversations with several, and then the music came up and other actors appeared and the play had begun. The theatre is not large, nor out of portion, small and intimate. Having very clean sight lines down to the stage. The lighting director has done a fine job here as well, easy to see everyone at all times. The most fun thing that occurred to us, was that while walking in town the next morning, we passed by the lead actor and his wife, taking their dogs out for a walk, down on one of the side streets. I really liked this venue.

On Aug.15 2015, I went with my wife and another couple to a show. My sister was gracious enough to do all the arranging to keep it a surprise for my wife's birthday.
When we got to the box office to get our tickets, we met "Joel." Apparently we booked tickets for "under 30". Now Joel pointed out twice that we were "obviously over 30", and made it seem like we were trying to get away with paying the cheaper rate. We left without seeing the show.
I was really embarrassed and can't imagine how my sister feels.
On the bright side, this freed up time to visit some really good wineries.

Sight lines are good from any seat. While the first act was slow, we laughed our way through the second of Peter and the Starcatcher. Great way to spend a rainy evening!

What an amazing performance which everyone should see. The interaction with the audience brought a new twist to a classic production. The set design was inventive. Overall the experience is not to be missed.

We saw A Christmas Carol on November 30. The play as excellent as always. The only downside was the cast came out before the play and walked up and down the aisle chatting to the audience. I found it "forced", and did not add anything to the production. It tends to break the illusion normally created by a play.

This was a most delightful and different take on Scrooge. The happy atmosphere of a full theatre, singing Christmas Carols, and stage set was so well done. We all loved the Ghost. A standing ovation at the end - what more can I say.

Loved the idea that Shaw introduced another play into their schedule, loved that the play was A Christmas Carol, loved how the actors engaged the audience. Great production, great start to the Christmas season.

We saw "Peter and the Starcatcher," a disappointment after the glowing 2012 NYT review. I thought the cast would conjure up mountains and palaces, ships and storms with little more than a piece of string and a wooden spoon, but I found the production pedestrian, the jokes lame, and the concept unconvincing. However, someone in Row A laughed uproariously, so some people enjoyed the production. Our seats were in the balcony, with a surprisingly clear view of the stage.

I found the seats hard by the second half, and the washrooms were downstairs, so it's not a good theater if you don't like stairs. It's a pretty building inside and out, though.

Saw Peter and the Starcatcher at the Royal George Theatre. Theatre is in the middle of town, so if you are staying at one of the hotels, or one of the many B & B's, it is easy to walk to. Seats are comfy and the production was funny and enjoyable. If you want to have a few laughs, see Peter and the Starcatcher. Be prepared for some unexpected funniness.
