A shopping bonanza.
Jun 2021
I like how they sectioned part of downtown off so the many restaurants can have patios. It also spreads the people our so the sidewalks aren't so crowded. Lots of shops to shop in.

Such a safe experience during the pandemic
Mar 2021
As of March 2021, visitors are required to wear masks BOTH indoors and outdoors on Banff Avenue. Feel so safe visiting here.

It's as beautiful as ever and has all types of foods, restaurants, bars, and shops. Nestled in the heart of the mountains.

Still the heart of Banff, and with their excellent COVID regulations, you feel safer!
Mar 2021
It's a little sad seeing everybody in downtown Banff wearing face masks even outdoors, but that's exactly what a tourist resort must do - Bravo to the town for making hard, but correct decisions! Also, it's unfortunate that so many of the outdoor celebrations that animate the downtown seem to have been cancelled. But it still is a great place, stunning views of Cascade Mountain, lots of fab restaurants and shops, decent parking on the Avenue and nearby. Do watch those intersections: many have 5 cycles, one for each direction of traffic, and a fifth for pedestrians only, they can cross diagonally too, no turning cars, etc. For those who are able to travel, Banff should be on the "to-do" list!

Typical tourist strip with all the standard trappings
Dec 2020
If you're looking for the typical tourist shops and restaurants and such, then you won't be disappointed with Banff Avenue. Everything from local souvenirs to munchies and restaurants. Several places to satisfy any sweet tooth exist here (but $$$).

Lots to see
Aug 2020
Lots of great shopping and dining options along Banff Avenue, and if you walk to the bottom of the street, you'll find yourself at Bow River, look back up the street for an iconic photo-op!

I love the vibrant Banff Avenue. During COVID you are required to wear a mask on the shopping strip. A great variety of shops, restaurants and bars.

Lovely

Banff ave is a lovely stroll. Lots of souvenir shops, restaurants and specialty stores. Was disappointed that there were no artisan shops to be found, however they may have been located on the non main streets that are currently under major construction.

Touristy for all of us tourists
Sep 2020
Suck it up everyone, you need a face mask. Otherwise this town would be shut down and you'd be stuck at home. Endless shopping and eating options on a street with an awesome mountain backdrop.
