The gondola was AMAZING and a must see when in Banff. The views from the top are unlike anything I’ve ever seen. The gondola has windows that were open so you got a breeze and they felt very safe. Staff were very friendly as well!

Very fun ride! Our group consisted of 6 people, age 74 to age 9. All loved this experience. When you get to the top, there is a board walk that you can walk up to a station that was used to examine cosmic rays. The walk was .72 total (including there and back). Beautiful views (a bit slippery at the very top but no need to go to the actual cosmic ray station to get the great views).
At the gondola center, there was live music on the top level where you could enjoy the music, views, and a drink. It also had a great gift shop and learning area. Really great experience. Highly recommend!

Was a fun time. Great views from atop Sulphur Mountain. Especially at sunset. Make sure to trek over to the weather station.

The facilities and restaurants at the top are top-notch, and the views are stunning. You might even see a mountain goat! The only real downside is the crowds... it was simply too crowded at the top. The coffee shop line was 30-minutes long. Try going earlier in the morning if you can, to avoid the afternoon crowds.

Place was extremely clean and the view was wonderful!
I bumped into a wonderful young pair of men named Simon and a very nice Japanese man called Sei who were doing an amazing job cleaning up the boardwalk and keeping the national park so clean!

The staff were very helpful with ticket changes and hints on where to sit if you have any worries about heights. At times there can be way to many people at the top of the mountain. Its safe to walk around. Nice gift store too. I would recommend this experience to anyone that wants to see a great view of Banff. And they take your photo before leaving the top, very cool!

Good views of Banff, but you only need 1 hour to do the Gondola up and the walk. They allocate 1hr 40mins for the trip and won’t let you come down before your timeslot. There was a constant flow of people being refused earlier return slots. The ticket office advised us to spend the time watching the education movie as it’s “really wholesome” - we declined. At $77 per person, it’s very poor value, but at least the 40 mins I had to kill allowed me time to write this review.

Despite having prepaid timed tickets the area on top was too crowded to enjoy it. There was live music equipment with speakers and cords blocking part of the patio. The entrance was quick and the staff was nice. Took longer than expected to get back down as we had to get a separate return ticket.

You would take the Roam 1 bus closest to Wolf street. Check times at roamtransit
Dress warm!! It’s cold at the top.
Can I go to the Gondola if I am an International traveller? I am double vaccinated in my home country... Will the Arrive can record help to proof this?

Hello Camper56979971821:
You are welcome at the Banff Gondola.
You must be fully vaccinated to join our facilities.
You must show us an original proof of vaccination and a government ID.
Can my 3 kids join me and my husband on the gondola or will we be split up ?

Not sure but should be fine if you're part of one family. There's certainly room for 4 comfortably. Call to make sure they're running during the lock down.

I was looking at the dinner package but we are coming in June. With the 2 hour time limit it wouldn’t give us much time to explore with dinner.Do you get extra time because of the dinner?

Hi there, I’m in a bit of a problem right now. I purchased some tickets online, as a gift for my friend, but I entered the wrong email address by mistake :( And I don’t have an account online to access these tickets. Would my friend still be able to go on the gondola just providing her name and confirmation number?? Idk what to do :( TIA

Banff National Park, Canada
Hello. You can call our reservation Team. They will be able to find the tickets by name and can correct the email as well.
If I purchase a ticket to go up the Gondola at 11:10. Can I come back down whenever I want?

Hello Climber18169038468:
Right now (Winter time) is not busy, so you can come back down any time.
In Summer time we are very strict with the upload and download time due to the high volume of people in our attraction.
We hope to see you soon
Hi, wondering if the sulfur mountain gondola is included in SkiBig3 lift tickets?
