Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My husband and I went to Lake Lyndon for a walk. Whilst there we saw some motorcyclists having great fun on their bikes. Also some chaps fishing and other trampers. The scenery is breathtaking and obviously the scene changes with the seasons.

lake lyndon is fantastic in winter when it freezes over. The children love walking across the lake. Our large family dog enjoys it too.

If you haven't seen snow or ever ice skated this is a great place to go in the winter time, take your plastic or boogey boards and go slide on the snow on the hill, or for that last couple of weeks in June and first weeks of July you might even be able to ice skate. Great place after a good snow fall to take kids to make a snowman and have the mandatory snow fight. Take your fizzy drink and some cups and make everyone a slushy and then when you're all chilled to the bone, jump in the car and drive back to Springfield for a hot chocolate.

Apart from there being a little bit of yellow snow around, the place is actually really nice. I just love the peacocks that walk around freely and the talk deer, Peter who has a vocabulary of 4 words - Hi, Bye, Ahh and Eww.

Beautiful afternoon spent sledging beside the lake. Took a picnic although the picnic table has been used to make/light a fire unfortunately 😣Toilets were clean. There is a heap of room for the kids to run around!!

It's one of the DOC free camping places with a shelter and toilet. The lake is beautiful and fishing is allowed. You can sit right by the lake and do picnic. Coming over the Porter Hill pass I found this lake a haven of delight

We stopped at this lake to stretch our legs after all the driving. It was quite bare in autumn, but should look better in winter. The grass surrounding the lake was quite bare and brown.

We pass Lake Lyndon every year on the way to Castle Hill. In the winter of 2015, the lake froze over and we were able to walk on it! Some people even played ice hockey. But normally, the lake is suitable for fishing or non-motor boating, picnicking and walking around.
