We visited in October and it was very quiet and peaceful. The cafe/coffee shop were open and the prices are very reasonable. You can catch a boat ferry from here that takes you back to Salcombe if you fancy it.

Stumbled across this lovely village and beach after walking from Thurston. Stopped for a drink at the Lobster Pot cafe and sat in one of the pods overlooking the harbour. Pretty harbour, bay and village and great walk to end of the bay. Will definitely...More

Futuristic pods have materialised at the Cottage Hotel which look grossly out of place in this Victorian/Edwardian village.Further development plans in the village look to increasingly be changing the traditionally look Hope Cove was famous for. Chasing profit is unfortunately shifting this lovely setting in...More

A very clean beach with plenty of room for lots of people. Very fine sand, great situation for surfers and swimmers alike, plenty of rocks to help shelter from a very strong wind. A lovely place down some typical narrow lanes well worth going to.

Very quiet when we visited on a Monday aftenoon, with pretty views of the beach. Would be a nice place for a picnic, especially from the top of the hill next to the beach. This is the sort of place to go when you want...More

We decided to visit Hope cove a lovely location set on coastal route path. One big disappointment was the visual sight of faecal matter and the strong smell of sewage in a large pool on the harbour side of breakwater. Apparently there is a main...More

I have been looking for a gem if a beach, able to sit and read a book. It was busy but you can see the potential for a relaxing holiday. Car parking is very strict, so watching the clock on a short stay was necessary....More

Hi, There is a car park by the beach with some disabled Parkin spaces. It will be busy in August so go early.

A few cafes and pubs, dog friendly. Great coastal walks, watch out for the cliff edge with your dog though. It will be super busy in high season and I don’t think dogs can go on beach during the summer months.
