Amazing Views - must do if you like to hike
Jun 2021
Excellent family adventure to finish our vacation in Cabo. Enrique was personable. His dogs were fun to have along. Definitely a must do for anyone who likes to hike. Enrique added to the adventure with his knowledge of the area. Give him a generous tip....somehow I think the dogs benefit from most of it.

Mt Solmar July 7 2021 was awesome!
Jul 2021 • Family
Hiked Mt Solmar on July 7th with my family. As others have written just show up at the Dog Rescue at 8am for an 8:15am start. Parking isn’t close so take an Uber so you can just be dropped off. No reservations needed. No cost. We tipped $20 at the end. Enrique and his dogs guide you up Mt. Solmar. He stops twice for a rest break and getting to the top took 35 min. We were back down by 10:30 so we spent about an hour up top. He let me fly my DJI Mavic drone as well. We all loved it!!

Mt Solmar spectacular views!
Jun 2021
Had a wonderful hik up Mt Solmar, Enrique was a terrific guide and loved having the dogs around. What is so nice is that you can pretty much go at your own pace. You definitly need to be hands free, there are some spots that you need to hold onto the rocks to climb up. The view is magnificant! We do spend about 20-30 minutes at the top taking in the view and relaxing. Please remember to make a donation to Enrique's dog rescue. He does the hike free of charge. When I went there were about 15 in the group. Oh and definitly get their by 8 am sometimes he leaves a little early and once he locks the gate he doesn't turn around.

Mt. Solmar Hike
Jun 2021 • Couples
We've made this hike several times in years past and we're looking forward this again. The hike is now by escort which was actually quite wonderful since the caretaker Enrique is Cabos version of the "Dog Whisper" and we had ten dogs join the group for the hike. Enrique's assistant Jorgy, was great company and very knowledgeable of the local flora on the hillsides.

We were terribly disappointed that someone or someone's tore down the cross and threw it over the side. Enrique has retrieved it in three pieces. I volunteered to repair it with him, carry it to the summit and install it again with him. Enrique told me that the property owner is a follower of Jesus. We leave July 2nd. I am hoping to be able to help before then. Outside of this, the hike and the people we met were wonderful.

Difficult but worth the view
Jun 2021
I found this hike difficult but very worth it. I am 50 years old and in shape and my daughters are 22 and 19 and in shape as well but we all thought this isn't for the faint at heart. The first part of the ascent is a slow/moderate uphill - no problem. The 2nd half of the ascent I was huffing & puffing and actually had to stop and rest. I would recommend being hands free (use a fanny pack or lightweight backpack to hold your water) as you will need your hands to grab onto rocks as you climb. Also recommend only closed toe, sturdy shoes. ( no Tevas, Chacos, etc) The view at the top is stunning. Enrique, your guide, is knowledgeable and personable. We had about 35 people in our group. I would arrive early at the gate (8:00am) as the group will depart 8:15-8:25 to begin. It was about 10:15 when we were done but that time frame did include 3 different rest periods throughout the hike.

Afraid of Beights?

I have heard SO much about this hike. I know several (fit) ladies in their 70’s who do it a few times a year. Should be no problem. For me. Ha.

The hike wasn’t the issue. It was the heights for me. There are some steep areas that I had to cling to the rocks. Knees knocked a little bit.

About half way up I started to wonder...”do we go back DOWN this same trail???”

I am 50 yrs old, don’t workout, 6’ tall and 230lbs. Not in great shape, but not “terrible”. I was definitely huffing at the top. Took me a good 10 minutes to cool down and catch my breath.

The views are AMAZING. Some of the other hikers were taking selfies in spots that seemed stupid, but no one fell. Ha. Spent about 30-40 minutes up top, and started the decent on the backside.

Going down was much easier to navigate. Took about 35 to get up and 20 to come down. If you do not have a fear of heights, probably the best place for views in cabo.

Went on a Sunday. About 30-35 people from all walks of life. Everyone had their own pace. If you walk in the back, you can pace yourself better. If you walk near the front, you see where the dogs poop and easier to avoid stepping in it. Damn, those dogs poop a lot.

My legs were SORE the day after. My son laughed. It was easy for him.

Cabo's Best Ocean Sunset Hike Review
Dec 2020
This is the most spectacular ocean sunset hike in Cabo! In my YouTube video, I show just how breathtaking the views at the top are!
Enrique is the owner of the property and personally guides 2 tours a day. The meeting location is only a 10 minute drive outside of downtown Cabo San Lucas.
Meeting Times: 8:15am and 4:15pm (arrive 10 - 15 minutes early)
Duration: 2 hours
Difficulty: moderately difficult
Bring: sneakers, water, sunscreen, and your best cameras
This is a free hike. I'd highly recommend tipping Enrique $10 to $20 if you enjoyed the experience.

Such a fun experience!! If you aren’t in great shape it will be challenging! It was a little scary at certain spots but so so worth it. We are dog lovers and absolutely loved the dogs with us. So beautiful!

Dog whisperer hike
Apr 2021 • Couples
This was a little bit of a hike but worth it. There are some places some might find challenging so be prepared. Bring water snd comfy shoes. The views at the top and aling the way are spectacular. The dogs, if you like them, are a bonus. It is private property so when he says be there early he isn't joking. He locked the gates and we could hear people yelling when we started out. I would highly reccomend this and leave a nice tip too.
