Visited Whittington castle today for a takeaway from the castle tea rooms . Tried a Whittington wobbler, excellent value for money, it's a giant Angus steak burger. Hopefully in the summer the castle will be able to put some of their events back on . lovely 2nd hand book shop .Gift shop. Normally you can sit down inside the cafe, hopefully soon we will be allowed again, until then the takeaway service is really good value for money .nice selection of cakes .

Wonderful little tearoom with a very warm welcome on a damp grey day. Excellent lunch and cakes. Still full up. Thank you.

What a gem! Enjoyed a gorgeous Hazelnut Latte and the best bacon buttie I've had in ages! Took away some cakes from the large selection and will look forward to having them later. Really polite staff and very safe with covid safety measures in place. A delightful place for a treat with a view of the castle.

Visited the kitchen@thecastle yesterday and sampled the new delicious menu created by the new chef - and will certainly be coming back. Sampled a Green Goddess which is a vegetarian dish; there are others on the menu. Everything felt very safe at the kitchen and it was full of customers. Car parking is now £2 as it’s a charity which has to fund itself. This is a great time to visit the Castle as the Autumn colours are fantastic.

This is a lovely little place. The grounds are well kept and very pretty. We fed the ducks and geese with a bag of food that was available to buy, 50p for a bag. That is such a good idea as everyone should know these days it is unacceptable to feed bread to ducks, as some people were actually doing! The little cafe was doing take away snacks, good choice of cakes and lovely coffee. No charge to enter the castle ruins but £2 charge to park to help to maintain it. It was a really pleasant place even the the weather was a little bit wet.
