Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The pictures do not do justice to this beautiful cathedral. So gorgeous in the late afternoon and evening. The cathedral is now open. They were celebrating a high school graduation one evening and I was able to take a peak inside. Absolutely stunning. Great evening market in front of the cathedral.

The outside of the city's main cathedral is pretty, especially near dawn or dusk when the light intensifies the golden hue. But it has been closed since a 2017 earthquake, and meta fencing obstructs obstructs the view of the lower portions.

Sadly, due to Covid, much of the cathedral cannot be seen due to barriers and construction. The park in front of the church is also partially covered and not accessible. Will simply have to return.
Huh of activity in the square with vendors and food carts.

It's at the main plaza. Nothing unique about it. Same as all towns, they have a church and municipal buildings. Might be discouraged to enter, no one was checking when we were there, but there's really nothing to see.

The outside is very nice, and definitely worth the walk, but as stated in the title, we couldn't get inside...

The church itself can only be visited from the outside since tourists cannot enter the building. But in front of the church is a great nightmarket which offers amazing local handicraft including warm ponchos etc made locally. It is worth to hang out ther during the afternoon/night to see the market!!

Although we tried to visit this sacred place, we only admired the exterior, as construction works are in progress and the church seems inaccessible at this moment (July 2019).
