You could spend days in here. Great museum with tons of interesting things to see. For sure the best anthropology museum and one of the best in the world. Love the fountain.

This was one of the most vast and impressive museums in the world. It is very overwhelming so you may have to pick and choose the sections to see if you are trying to do it in one day.

We started on the ground floor in the anthropology section....it is all very interesting and detailed to the point if being overwhelming and too academic. When we got to the ethnographic section on the second floor we were thrilled. We have spent much Tim win...More

Allow plenty of time to visit this extraordinary museum. We had a private after-hours group tour one evening with an extremely knowledgeable and personable curator as our guide, but that visit just covered the highlights of three galleries. There are 24 galleries! So we returned...More

Sunday seemed to be the wrong time to visit this place. Children crying, strollers, people wandering around, in the way, selfies, and crowds of people. Was hard to experience the full museum with all the mass public there. Plan to spend more than a few...More

I'll admit - I don't love museums of any kind and when I'm traveling solo they are usually the first things I cross off of a list of things to do but I was in MC with friends and this was their top pick. The...More

As many others have noted, this is an amazing museum. It is very large and modern, with a great cantilevered roof over the central plaza. We were there for 3 hours and got through 2 galleries out of 22. The descriptions of each area are...More

We arrived at the museum late in the day after going to several tourist locations. As a result we rushed through this museum. I would recommend making this your first stop and taking your time. The museum is built around an amazing courtyard with a...More

This would rate as one of the best museums in the world we have visited. The displays are very well presented with garden courtyards attached to many of the ground floor rooms. I liked the way the museum displays it's collection in chronological order and...More

Yes. Most of the museum is wheelchair accessible. In fact, there were many physically challenged people touring the exhibits as there was a competition in the city for para-olympic athletes.

Hi. I don't think I paid - but if I did it was very minimal. The price quoted by the other wrtier sounds about right for Mexican Museums - they really are inexpensive to visit.
