This mine displays a small walk through museum with miniature replicas of the town and beginning mines. You can also take a tour down into the mine. The guides are wonderful explaining all of the history.

Very nice very small collection, can be done very quickly, near the Diego Rivera house, well worth a stop and almost free (in dollars). Go but you will not spend very long there.

The silver mine tour is a 15-20 minute cab ride from the center of Guanajuato. The tour includes walking down (and therefore back up) 60 meters into a mine shaft. The tour is in Spanish. It is time well spent.
