Like most Mexican towns and cities, Guanajuato has a centro - the jardin is the central part of it. Great place to sit, relax, have a drink or dinner nearby, and relax.

Very pretty and shady little plaza, which is actually a triangle, with nice planting and a fountain. The main hub in the historic centre, surrounded by eateries and opposite the theatre. Lots of people congregate here and tours, such as the calejondas, start from here.

Every town in Mexico has a pretty town square, but none prettier than this one. Shaped laurel trees surround fountains and a gazebo and cafes line the walkway. Mariachi banks stroll at night. A magical place.

If you are a people-watcher (and who isn't) you can while away many relaxing moments watching a parade of human activity, often embellished with a musical score and those wonderful colors of Mexico! Surrounded by plenty of restaurants with fair prices, dining comes easy. Get...More

A great plaza to sit and watch the world go by. It's always full of life, and as the day progresses becomes busier by the hour. Loud and raucous in the evenings with Mariachi bands, food vendors, restaurants, and the Calleonada musicians across the street...More
