It is a long time since we last visited and on this occasion we took several grandchildren for a day at the pools. The staff we encountered were excellent, very courteous and professional. The facilities are run down and for the prices charged something of...More

Waiwera thermal resort is now open only on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Waiwera is a beautiful seaside village adjacent to Wenderholm Regional Park but this thermal resort is tired. The small village is a hidden gem renoun for its mineral water and hot springs, but...More

Haven't been for 12 years. Overall the place has structurally deteriorated because of no tlc or maintenance, however the actual pools and water were a delight. Place is currently only open Friday to Sunday as the owners have signs up re refurbishment, I have to...More

This once great kiwi thermal weather park is now a disgusting run down rip off. After many years away we decided as a family to take a visit over the weekend. The price is extortion at best with a family of four at $82.00 not...More

Overpriced and Miserable! Don't waste $56 on one adult and two children for a rundown and filthy establishment. Very sad state. Not one pool is in reasonable condition. All need resurfacing! A Bulldozer is the only thing that will quickly fix this!

Ok folks, the Russians purchased this operation with the intent of bull dozing it and building a high end luxury resort. It failed and did not get consent. So they have let it go down hill with no intention of revamping it. They sell the...More

Was blown away at the cost - $30 per adult was a bit more than I'd anticipated. Lots of pools and temperatures to chose from, all well maintained though a bit tired as all mineral pools are really. Appears to cater well for families as...More

My husband and I took a bus trip out to the hot springs. It was a very easy, inexpensive bus trip from the City Bowl in Auckland into Waiwera, a little beach community about 50km away. I thought the prices were reasonable but I do...More
