Stunning valley with lots to see

This whole area of Germany is stunningly beautiful, with its mountains and valleys, and on every crest and hilltop, there's a ruin or a castle. This valley is no different - there are some breath-taking viewpoints, a world-renowned cloyster in Beuron, a few castles to see... lots to choose from, and all within 20 minutes drive. Perfect on a good-weather day!

Great hike in the Danube Valley

I highly recommend this place for nature lovers!
There is so much to see and explore. Especially in the summer time you will see many hikers and bicyclists! You can also take a canoe ride on the Danube River.
Do not miss to try a piece of cake or have a meal in one of the numerous restaurants and cafes in the area!

What a beautiful place with lots of opportunities to hike or to bike.
Don’t miss the monastery Beuron.
A great place to visit. So much to do and see.

Hike from Fridingen

The best views are close to Fridingen, and you don't probably will need to walk all the way to the next town if you are short on time. So stick to the ones nearby, since the farther away the less impressive the vistas are.

gorgeous little valley

very nice little valley where the Danube river is still very small but the valley with its impressive lime rocks is breathtaking especially in fall, when the leaves change colour
