This is "must go" venue if you like the water. You have to hike through a marsh on a boardwalk but that's worth it too.
The pictures give you a good idea and if the sun's out the water colour is exceptional.

It's sometimes rare to find a completely unspoiled beach anywhere - no hotels, condos, shops, etc. This is one that is pure nature! We enjoyed an afternoon here and spent hours out in the warm water. It was a perfectly calm and sunny day without...More
Grab a book. Take a camera or your charged phone. This beach was the one and the only beach we saw that was untouched, unspoiled, and clean. The island got hit hard from hurricanes so many beaches looked unkempt to me, but this beach is...More
After site seeing the Lucayan National Park go across the road and walk to Gold Rock Beach when it's low tide, around 10-11 am. Absolutely gorgeous sand like fine fine powder and when tide is low you should see how far out it goes, really...More
This was our favorite beach (after Fortune and Xanadu). Since cruise ship folks come around 1-2p if you arrive earlier and bring a lunch can really have a nice time from 9 to 1p. The walk through the mangroves to get there adds depth and...More
Wish we could have stayed longer but were part of a tour, if you have a car plan to be here all day as it's truly stunning, no wonder it was used as a filming location for Pirates of the Caribbean, one of the most...More
Due to our local guide, who's living on the Island, we got a really, really nice tour of this great beach.
The guide told us about the Johnny Depp movie "Pirates of the Caribbean" which was recorded on this beach. We all agreed that there...More
This is probably the nicest beach in the island - relatively wide, but mostly great because it has a sandy bottom with hardly any rocks. It is very shallow - at low tide you can walk out very far. Even at high tide it is...More

I suggest you phone the Bell Channel Inn and ask for Genie, she arranges tours, she's a diamond of a lady, she has friends who do tours for people so could maybe arrange something for you through her friend Michael. We got a tour from the Bell Channel Inn it was $45 each and was in a tour bus, first it went to the underground pools/caves, there toilets and a small stand for drinks and snacks no facilities on Gold Rock beach itself, which is across the road and a walk on a boardwalk through mangroves, we stayed there an hr and a half then went to Fortune beach for a couple of hrs which was also lovely there was a bar/restaurant there too. Coming off a cruise it would have to be tailored to you with times etc so going down a private arrangement is the only way to do it, Genie also arranges car hire and could do a day hire where the others wouldn't hire for less than 3 days, car parking with entry to Gold Rock I think was $10 so cheap to do if you have a car, good luck hope you get there as it is beautiful.
