The beaches are excellent. Especially on low tide. Sadly the place is in dire need of someone clearning up all the glass bottles thrown on the beach and in the water (some broken, some intact). Thus you need to watch your step, but the rewards...More

The beach is still recovering from Matthew, lots of evidence of the storm, beach errosion, walls and houses damaged. The sad part is many of the beach front hotels have not reopened, which also continues to impact the economy. This however means the beaches are...More

Been visiting this beach for 25 years now. Never really crowded and always friendly people. Be sure to bring a plastic bag...often times locals dive for lobster and bring them onshore for sale. Nice and friendly beach bar as well.

The water is shallow and has good snorkeling not far out. We took drinks to the beach to save money (no glass). Had lots of fun and sun. This is a very easy beach to park at and enjoy.

Silverpoint is about a 20-30 bus ride from the port. Bus will be about $1.25 and can drop you off at the Lucayan Market. From there there are several beaches just a short walk away, and you can also do some shopping and eat... More
