What travellers are saying
- A S3 contributionsIt was an awesome family visit. Much relaxing, unique water park. Ioved it. Rapid River ride, swimming between sharks, was unique and wild experience.Written 27 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Natasha Scott1 contributionWe booked the beach day program through MSC Meraviglia. The entire check-in process and walking to the ferry takes less than 30 minutes, we were so excited first family cruise and on the way to Blue Lagoon 💙.
We left the port in a small, comfortable boat with an excellent crew who provided us with all the information we needed. At one point the boat sped up a little and my 9 years old daughter got scared and started crying, I wanted to hug her but my 4 month old son was sleeping in my arms. Maria quickly approached us asking if we wanted a life jacket and my daughter's name, she asked permission to sit next to us and hold her hand 🥺, Maria said: Amy (my daughter's name) close your eyes and hold my hand, if you hear something that scares you or people screaming, keep your eyes closed and squeeze my hand as hard as you can: we're going to be okay, during the boat ride they had a beautiful interaction, Maria kept asking Amy, her favorite color, what were her favorites: dolphins or sea lions, the name of her classmates, suddenly Amy calmed down and stopped crying 🙌, once we got to the island and to my surprise my daughter did not want to disembark until María took her hand again, at that moment my eyes filled with tears, I want to say thank you very much María, an example of someone who goes above and beyond, someone who shows passion in what she does and worthy of recognition THANK YOU VERY MUCH MARÍA. 😘..On the other hand we had an unforgettable day, we highly recommend Blue Lagoon Island.Written 27 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Aaron GLos Angeles, CA286 contributionsThe Queen's Staircase is one of those obligatory, basic sites that just about anyone who visits Nassau is going to see... but it still has its heart, and still makes you feel like it's an intimate experience. Somehow, when my wife and I were there, we almost had it to ourselves, which made for a beautiful visit. And you won't need much time there - a half hour or so is plenty.Written 18 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Maximilian B1 contributionWe booked a tour directly on the webpage for the National Park. The driver Edmond picked us up directly at our Airbnb. He already gave us very nice information about the island on the way to the park. Then we had a snorkeling tour with Jason. He showed us the big statue and other nice places with many fishes. At the end we had a tour with Vernita. She explained us the history of the island. All three people were great. We really had a nice time in the Cliffton Heritage National Park.Written 18 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dansker58San Francisco, CA438 contributionsA fun thing to do while in Nassau. Not crowded at all. Price was a bit high for what you get. The flamingo show was fun and cool to get up close with the flamingos. Lots of exotic birds to see.Written 1 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- troy2rugbyBaton Rouge 4 contributionsFun little museum especially if you like pirate history. Not a lot to do in Nassau so definitely worth the $14 if you want to get off the ship and stretch your legs. We were there for about 45-60 minutes taking our time and reading everything.Written 28 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jill V1 contributionSmall fort that covers centuries of island history. We met the famous Michelle, who did our tour, it costs $5.50 payable at the gift shop. Finding it was hard. The driveway is off Bay St. look for the white obelisk in the median. Walk up driveway by the “Ft Charlotte Cashless” sign. Across from the public beach (past Junkanoo Beach with all of the food huts. ). Easy, safe walk from cruise ship docks.Written 2 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- xtina989Seattle, WA14 contributionsWe went during lunch time on a Wednesday and very few places were open. May be more lively on weekends or when a cruise ship is docked. Not much to do beyond this 2 -3 block stretch of restaurants and a few souvenir stalls. But there are places to park, a public restroom building centrally located across the street (none in restaurants), and driveable to downtown and beaches.
The restaurant we went to gave large portions! Know that you may be able to share a dish between 2 people for most dishes priced over $20 per plate.Written 14 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There's no shade, but you can rent an umbrella and beach chair for around $35. The steps down to the beach are steep, so be careful and take your time going up and down.
Bring cash; some of the vendors at the market do not accept cards. There's a cool bar and local store at the entrance. We walked down to the beach, took some pictures in the water, then walked back up to the entrance and had a few drinks in the shade at the bar. It was a highlight of our cruise.Written 14 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. But the colorful pieces here certainly evoke a Bahaman style. Most of the art has a victim and oppression theme, which is also fitting for a country that is both entirely dependent on yet loathes the tourists and the national subservience to tourist interests. While the Museum itself isn’t that big, they fill the walls with the art, though photos aren’t allowed. There is also a sculpture garden, but there are only a few, very abstract pieces here. It’s a one hour museum on the whole.Written 17 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
