About
Enjoy a full-day excursion from Nassau to the idyllic Blue Lagoon Island, where you can swim with dolphins, interact with sea lions and stingrays, or even snorkel among native nurse sharks. There are plenty of other things to do here: join a Segway safari tour, swim in the lagoon, enjoy an eco adventure, or just simply savor some peace and quiet on an adults-only beach. A lunch buffet is usually included in your ticket, but lines can get quite long. Go all out with the Ultimate Animal Access pass, which includes roundtrip ferry transportation and lunch. – Tripadvisor

- Tara2 contributionsAmazing atmosphere and amazing service! My mom and I came through here on a day trip for a cruise. The island itself is beautiful. The staff is more than accommodating. As soon as you arrive they are there to help get to where you need to go and to make sure you have a delicious drink in your hand. We were in the adults only VIP beach and Crystal was the best server! We would come here again in a heartbeat.Hi TaraTimeTravels. We are glad that you had a great time at Blue Lagoon Island. The VIP Beach Day is a great way to relax! They could use a cleanup crew after the day is done. Walking along the water with my husband in the morning, we found quite a bit of garbage from the day before.Hi sgraf729. It is certainly a very busy time of year. We are glad that you enjoyed lunch. We do clean up our beaches daily. It is very important to us to keep our beautiful marine environment clean. - VickiMemphis, Tennessee3 contributionsSea Lion FunWe visited Blue Lagoon the first weekend in March and it was so much fun! The water was incredible and I can see why it's called Blue Lagoon! We enjoyed a quiet spot on the beach before our sea lion meet and greet. Our sea lion excursion was a lot of fun and well worth what we paid. We did pay for pictures and by the time we got back to our cruise ship, we already had the link for our pictures so I'm not sure why other people are saying they never got them. On the ferry ride back, the crew pointed out celebrity homes that we passed on Paradise Island. We look forward to visiting again!Hi Vicki W. We are happy to hear that you had a wonderful time with our sea lions! They are so much fun and such characters! Thank you for visiting Blue Lagoon Island. - Sheri K6 contributionsLoved Blue Lagoon Encounters, soft white sand, and lots of teal Blue water! We thoroughly enjoyed the dolphin and sea lion encounters and had the best guide for our group! Chris was great and it was obvious he loved his job. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Did not give 5 stars because we only found 2 shops to shop in and would have liked more shopping options to represent our visit to Nassau. Area was very neat and clean!Visited April 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 21 April 2023

- *HRL022884*Meridian, Mississippi2 contributionsMagical Day at Blue Lagoon IslandBlue Lagoon Island was one of my family’s favorite experiences on our recent vacation. Everything was very clean and organized. My mother and my daughter are animal lovers. Neither felt that the animals were being mistreated (per some of the other comments on here). They genuinely seemed to enjoy the human interaction and their habitats. The dolphin encounter was an absolutely amazing experience. We also loved shopping, lunch, the water activities, and exploring the beaches. Side note, my mother took a tumble and injured her knee. The staff administered first aid twice that day. They were very caring and kind.Visited June 2023Travelled with familyWritten 16 June 2023

By far one of the best cruise excursions we have ever had! This Island approx 20 mins from Nassau has everything you would need to have an exciting day! The ferry ride was pleasant and seeing the Celebrity homes was great. As soon as you enter the lagoon, we felt totally relaxed. We originally paid for the shark excursion but because there were high tides we had to change to the sting ray excursion. What an amazing time!!! The area was a private lagoon that had sting rays on one side and had the sharks on the other. So at least we could still see the sharks up close. Then as soon as our amazing guide ( i forgot her name but she was fantastic) got us in the water, the rays were there and very gentle. We spent approximately. 40 mins with the rays from handling them, taking pictures, snorkelling with them and exploring. There were even smaller fish and barracuda and one elusive small shark in there.
Other highlights of the island, are the clean beach areas, you can also walk over to the dolphin areas and view them up close and sea lions.
The excursion also includes a lunch which was fantastic. They had options for gluten free items which helped as well.
All in all, this was a 5 star day! Thank you Blue Lagoon.

We booked the beach day program through MSC Meraviglia. The entire check-in process and walking to the ferry takes less than 30 minutes, we were so excited first family cruise and on the way to Blue Lagoon 💙.
We left the port in a small, comfortable boat with an excellent crew who provided us with all the information we needed. At one point the boat sped up a little and my 9 years old daughter got scared and started crying, I wanted to hug her but my 4 month old son was sleeping in my arms. Maria quickly approached us asking if we wanted a life jacket and my daughter's name, she asked permission to sit next to us and hold her hand 🥺, Maria said: Amy (my daughter's name) close your eyes and hold my hand, if you hear something that scares you or people screaming, keep your eyes closed and squeeze my hand as hard as you can: we're going to be okay, during the boat ride they had a beautiful interaction, Maria kept asking Amy, her favorite color, what were her favorites: dolphins or sea lions, the name of her classmates, suddenly Amy calmed down and stopped crying 🙌, once we got to the island and to my surprise my daughter did not want to disembark until María took her hand again, at that moment my eyes filled with tears, I want to say thank you very much María, an example of someone who goes above and beyond, someone who shows passion in what she does and worthy of recognition THANK YOU VERY MUCH MARÍA. 😘..On the other hand we had an unforgettable day, we highly recommend Blue Lagoon Island.

My family of 5 had a blast doing the dolphin encounter, and then I did the dolphin swim after that as well! My swim with Laguna the dolphin and Celeste the trainer was incredible! I had a blast learning about the dolphins, and Laguna specifically. Also getting to swim with her and see her swim and do flips from in the water with her was really neat!! My husband and kids got to watch me - it was a wonderful experience!!

We went for our honeymoon in October 2023 and I thought it was absolutely beautiful. My husband was very sick that day unfortunately and just laid in a beach chair the whole time, but that was unrelated to our experience on the island. It was not crowded at all and it seemed like there was hardly anyone there honestly. I had a whole little section of beach to myself and it was extremely peaceful. We paid for the dolphin swim and I dragged my husband down with me although he was too sick to get in the water and laid on the dock, several workers offered him assistance and checked on him throughout our time there. The dolphin swim was amazing. I can't remember the name of the nice lady who was the dolphin's trainer or the dolphin's name, but it was a female dolphin whose mother and son were also there. Both dolphin and trainer were very sweet and fun.

My English is not very good, I am using an online translator. My daughter's dream has always been to see dolphins up close. We live very far from the sea. On board MSC we heard about the excursion to Blue Lagoon. We were very excited but worried about the language. We decided to take the risk and that's when they informed us that there were translators. on the island, I jumped for joy, well to make a long story short, we bought the excursion: beach day and we embarked to our fate, so far everything in English 😔, until we heard that angelic voice making the announcements in Spanish ufff "We are safe, I exclaimed" and to our amazement we heard her speaking in Italian as well. Upon arriving at the island we thought that we would not see her until departure time and we were totally wrong, she was checking of each guest all day, ensuring that we were enjoying the day. We had an unforgettable experience thanks to María, please send her our thanks. Thank you.

Our excursion to blue lagoon island to swim with the sharks was great. The Sharks didn’t want to cooperate, so they allowed us to interact with the dolphins. Daniel was amazing to coordinate everything there! He was so helpful and nice! 🐬 🦈

BOOK THIS EXCURSION!!
We had an amazing time at this beach. First, they water taxi you to an island, the ride is HYSTERICAL, the captain and crew are funny and make the twenty minute trip go by quickly. The trip is 11am to 3pm to get you back to the ship on time. There is a little walking on a trail, but clean close by bathrooms help!
STANFORD is a great host, so tip him and those girls well, they will take great care of you.
Bring sunscreen and towels. Bring a snorkel mask, the water is calm and clear. We swam and ate, and enjoyed conversations with our other crusiers.

We went as part of the impractical jokers cruise and chose the dolphin meet with Randy. Man, it was such an unforgettable experience and Randy really ensured we had a great time. Not only was he extremely friendly and knowledgeable but you could tell he genuinely cares and knows the animals. The waters were SO blue, beach was nice and provided enough shade, bar was nice. Since we went in Jan it was emptier than usual.

Wha are the best days and times to avoid the cruise ship crowds? Thanks
Hi,
We are looking at excursions from our cruise and want to know if there is ferry transportation that is wheelchair accessible (they cannot walk) in order to come to the island? I do understand that the dolphin encounter has the ability to provide a wheelchair for them to experience. How is the wheelchair brought into the water, only ask to verify there are no steps/ladders that are involved. Thank you!

Can you request an umbrella or cabana at Blue Lagoon?
From what I saw, the umbrellas are first come first serve. I paid to have a “cabana.” It was more like a clamshell. I instantly regretted purchasing one because I saw everyone just claiming one without paying. There was no enforcement in regards to who gets to use them.

We got ours right away maybe a day or two. Try calling them at 242-363-7180 ext. 310 or 360. You can email them but they won’t let me give the email here. Hope this helps.
I plan to do a beach day at blue lagoon for my summer cruise. Can I upgrade to dolphin encounter when we arrive to the island?

Yes you can. I would recommend you book in advance as they tend to sell out quickly. You only get about 1/2 day for the beach pass so if you want to relax on the beach then dont do the dolphin encounter the same day or you lose out on the beach benefits

Hello. I have some questions for you. Is it so rocky does it make it hard to swim? Was there enough seating there for all the people? Was the food good?

I only went to one part of the adult only beach area and it was rocky there but there are multiple locations.
I ate at the adult only food area and it was very good.
I want to swim with dolphins

I heard the same thing when I was there a few weeks ago. Another guest at our resort did the dolphin swim at Atlantis and after hearing about my adventure was upset that they chose Atlantis. I did the royal dolphin swim and it was epic!
