Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The excursion was probably the best part of our Bahamian cruise! Unfortunately, we don't have a single photo to remember the day! Our pics from our tour on March 12th were never uploaded to the site. I have called every number and sent emails to every address I could find with no response back. Very disappointing, I would have asked another person on our tour to take our pictures if I had known!

We booked this excursion through RC Cruise line. When we got there and checked in the lady at the counter was super rude and not friendly at all. The tour guide was great. Very friendly and was able to educate us on the stingrays. It was fun holding them. We were told our pictures would be ready in 3-4 days, that we could go online and view/purchase them. It has been a week and still no photos.

Sting ray city was a lot of fun and gave a lot of information about sting rays. Captain Chester was very friendly and made our trip memorable! I would recommend this attraction!

We booked this excursion on our Royal Caribbean Harmony of the Seas cruise. We had 7 people with us and the total group that went out was about 30 people, give or take, on 3 boats. Our 3 "guides" were friendly and informative. They made sure everyone that wanted to hold a ray, did. And everyone that wanted to feed them was able to. They took pictures that you could purchase from their website but were more than happy to take photos with your camera. We didn't get to snorkel for very long because of a storm that rolled in but we still had a great time. I highly recommend it!

We had a great time holding and feeding the stingrays! It was such a unique experience and the stingray wrangler, Miguel, was very knowledgeable & helpful when it came to handling the stingrays. My husband and I loved it and would recommend to anyone!

Whoever screams the loudest wins. Went on this excursion on May 25th thru Norwegian cruise lines ship, the breakaway. It was unorganized and chaotic. Kids cutting in front of other people more than once to get their picture taken with stingrays. Nobody was in control. We finally got our pictures taken after about 30 minutes of chaos. The pictures havent been uploaded onto their website and it is now 6-29-2019. And the website states that pictures will be taken down in 3 days. Don't waste your money on this.

After the initial overview, you were free to listen to the host or snorkel and look at the rays under the water. We truly enjoyed ourselves.

The only reason I gave 2 stars was for effort. The guys really tried to make it informative and explained a lot, otherwise it had been a zero if possible. We was with Royal Caribbean at Coco cay and the only reason we booked this excursion was, our other one was cancelled. We did years ago a stingray swim in the grand Cayman and that was fantastic. The one at Coco cay not so much. The boat ride to the area of the stingrays was the best on the tour. 2 filled boat arrived at the same time and I think for the in closed area to much. Especially with that group we was over there. A herd of screaming and stupid acting girls in there twenty's. I was just wanting that one of them would be stung, but gladly the stingrays had mercy with stupid. The water was not clear so you could barely see even it was only a few feet deep. Snorkeling in there was no fun. Because the group was so big and everyone wanted ( of course who would blame them) pictures with the stingrays it got cold in the water because it was cloudy. We was trying to make the best out of it and waited to see the pics online like it was promised to us. But what a supries we still waiting. I emailed 3 times no response. No pictures, no customer service. For us, it was money throwing into the water. Would never ever book this excursion again.

What a great time we had with our granddaughters!! Quite an experience, one they will not forget. Staff was friendly, really educated on the sea life and ready to help you at any time. Worth the money and so much family fun.

We are going to Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas on board the Sirena (an Oceania ship) in Feb. Is it possible to see/ swim with the sting rays without paying to join an shore excursion?

Sorry for the late answer. The pictures weren't that expensive and they were very good! We bought all three! But we also took lots of pictures with a waterproof camera.
I hope you had a good time!

so..... how is it that one of those things don't get spooked and spike someone, tame or not?? Also, can non-participators go and maybe sit on a beach there? Is there such a beach?

When threatened, their primary reaction is to swim away. However, when attacked by predators or stepped on, the stinger in their tail is whipped up. So of course there's ALWAYS that chance of getting stung but they instruct you to slide your feet on the bottom so you don't step on them. And no, there is no beach area where these are. They have it gated off and have a gate to allow the stingrays to come and go as they please.

How did you book this excursion? I went to click on their website and it's not there. Did you book it through your cruise or privately? Thank you!

My husband and I did this excursion recently in the Bahamas and we had such a great experience. Our only complaint is we want the pictures that were taken of us and we were told they would be put on the website no more than 3 days after the excursion and we still have yet to see them. We did our swim on 9/6/2016. My husband and j both have tried to contact them and purchase the pictures but have gotten no response. Anyone else experience this issue or know how I can get ahold of them to get our pictures?
Thank you
