But shhhhh, don't tell everyone ! This beach is quite a bit off the beaten track, and i cycled to get here from Leeward Estates! Pretty much all of the beach is only accessible from your private villa, but there is a tennis club with...More
We have rented houses along Taylor Bay many times over the years and continue to enjoy it's quiet shallow waters and pristine fine sand. While were are not thrilled that the owner/builder of the 3 white villas decided to fence in the beach access (not...More
If you have a rental car its worth the trip down to Taylor Bay Beach for a few hours. Unbelievable beautiful bay with shallow water, We all waded out into the bay and enjoyed the surreal surroundings. Follow the directs from some of the earlier...More
Taylor Bay is incredibly beautiful. Grace Bay gets most of the hype, but Taylor Bay, which is much smaller, and less populated, is every bit as scenic as Grace Bay. Very shallow flat extends far out from the beach so it is very calm and...More
for little kids or adults who arent good swimmers. Entrance is between 3 white villas. One has a gate but the other entrance next to it doesn’t. Chalk sound dr to ocean pointe and you park right next to the sur villas.
There's parking along the street and the entrance is a bit hard to find. search these posts for how to get there. you can walk out in he sand for a long time. the water is amazing and the sand feels so awesome - think...More
You can walk for a quarter of a mile and not have water go above your shin. Additionally, not see more than a dozen people as this beach is private and belongs to the villa owners. I highly recommend renting a villa on this bay....More
So happy this beach has re-opened. A beautiful, serene beach with crystal clear waters and super soft white sands. Perfect for everyone, but especially great for kids and those who aren’t strong swimmers as the waters are shallow and calm. This beach is about a...More
make sure you have some directions before you go - we went the first time with a generic map and never found it. Then we went back to our hotel and read these posts and got specific directions - and it was worth it. It...More

I can’t really answer that for you. I know the airport area was flooded from the storm and there was damage but from what I’ve read most areas are back to normal. It’s a beautiful place and Taylor Bay was perfect for us, less crowded and a more quiet area. It’s easy to get around the island so if you’re looking for more activity it’s a short drive away.
Have a great trip and enjoy the beautiful island and it’s residents. 🏝

It is a public beach but access is really limited unless you're crossing over private property. Apparently there use to be more public access/parking but some property was sold where that access was and there are some villas there now. We were staying on Taylor Bay at a villa so we had direct access to the beach. There are still a couple of spots that the public can access if you're lucky enough to get a place to park that you can walk in. There was a lot of complaints about the limited access prior to us going but with private owners building I see their point, too, of not wanting people parking at their villas or going across their private property to access the beach. I think the local government should have thought ahead and saved a small plot just for access.
It's a beautiful, quiet beach and definitely worth the walk in.
Enjoy your trip. It's a beautiful island!
