Beautiful, scenic bay of shallow water, which is fun to kayak. Water is crystal blue with beautiful white sand. Chalk Sound is across from Sapodilla beach, so you can rent kayaks for $25-35, depending your negotiating skills. Sound is huge, so you may want to...More

I wanted to pick a house a retire here! Never wanted to stop looking at the blue azure water. It was raining when we visited but still was so beautiful!

We stopped at chalk sound on our scooter tour. This was beautiful, with the brightest water color on the entire island. If you have the chance make sure to stop here, one of the best of the island.

This entire island is surrounded by water that seems too blue to be real. Chalk exploits that with the luscious greenery surrounded by the perfectly blue Caribbean waters.

Awesome scenery and such clear crystal waters. Very nice area to snorkel and see a variety of fish. The beaches and water are clean, and the town people are nice and welcoming. Prices are a bit steep for food and groceries.

Chalk Sound is a beautiful body of crystal clear calm water with sand so soft if feels like skin cream in some locations under water. Great for paddle boarding, kayaking and of course wave runners. Grace bay is nice but this is a gem. Sappodillo...More

Super beautiful inland bay... Turquiose water, with tiny islands throughout. On at least one of the islands, they had small iguanas. We had the place to ourselves, and it is massive. Rented the kayaks at the Las Brisas Restaurant.

You can rent kayaks (and other watercraft) at Las Brisas restaurant. It really easy to access. They also have a pontoon tour that sounded cool. Chaulk Sound is very calm and peaceful.

Accessed it through the Las Brisas parking lot. there is a sort of dock there that you can walk out to. The color is striking. No place to sit or walk around - just look.

I wouldn't say it's less breezy on Chalk Sound. We spent a lot of time on Taylor Bay Beach which is close to Sopadilla Bay. When we were there last month it was just as breezy on Taylor Bay as it was on Chalk Sound.

One more thing, Chalk Sound isn't ideal for young children, but Taylor Bay, which is right next to ChalK Sound, is!! Taylor Bay is hands down our favorite beach on the island. The 1/2 mile stretch of powder sugared sand and... More
