We came over for the day from Bequia. We went to sparrow beach, club, and restaurant. It was a very pretty beach there. We did some snorkeling and had drinks and a good lunch. We got a cab at the dock when we got to Union Island. We had originally planned to do an island tour but it didn't seem interesting plus we wanted to spend more time at the beach. So the cab driver dropped us at the beach after about a five minute detour going through town. We told the driver we wanted to just stay at the beach and did not want to do the tour and that we would just call for a pick up. We were picked up to go back to the beach the other driver that picked us up insisted on showing us a few things on the way back. Not sure how far this little detour took us out-of-the-way but we had to be back in the dock within 30 minutes so I doubt the detour was longer than 15 to 20 minutes tops. The cost for the full 2 1/2 hour tour would've been 245 EC. We get back to the dock and ask how much it cost for a pick up and drop off and the person at the little booth by dock ask us what we thought was fair for an extended pick up and drop off. We said 150 EC he said how about 200 EC. Our boat captain said 100 EC was reasonable. Totally turned off by this experience. Ruined the first impression of Union island and what would've been a great day, visit, and potentially return. By contrast, we've overpaid twice in Bequia and both times the people came back to us and told us we overpaid. Probably will not visit Union Island again.

We bareboat chartered to Chatham bay on Union island. It was beautiful with amazing snorkeling. Truly a spectacularly beautiful place. Unfortunately our boat was boarded by 2 thieves at 4 am. We scared them off and luckily none of us were hurt, but in the dark night, it was a very scary event.

Union Island was definitely worth the visit! You need to know the ferries do not always follow their schedule. When we arrived we found out the ferry we were expecting to go back to Bequia wasn't running. But we found an amazing pilot named Martin that that had a 4 seater airplane at the Union Airport. He took us on a private flight to Bequia and was very responsible. Glad we found him, otherwise a ferry back to Bequia would have been about 5 hours. If you find yourself needing transportation. Ask the SVG office at the airport to hook you up with Martin!!!!

The island was nice. Most of the people were noce. Our trip is very questionable, some things I am still wondering
about. While vacationing, I was attacked by a local right at our hotel. I required medical attention. I have learned that all has been covered up and brushed away because it will hurt tourism. I would think that covering up and not doing anything to protect tourists would hurt tourism more. Don't think the police will help you if something happens to you. Beware of St Vincent and the Grenadines.

After Tobago one of the very nice island to visit. Caribbean island at its best. Covid 19 has sent away all the tourists and you are alone in Paradise

My boyfriends family is from this island, with his brother still living there - we decided to go. This island is simply paradise, I travel extensively through the Caribbean and Union is now my favourtie island. The island itself is so small you can walk everywhere but grabbing a taxi is so easy if you aren't one to enjoy walking. The people are so friendly and it has everything you need to have a wonderful time, some of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. We cannot wait to go back!

Interesting island. The bays on the west are nice and quiet, but my favourite part was Clifton. It is a busy bay, with plenty of boats at anchor, and the small town is interesting to wander around. Lots of locals selling produce and a number of small cafes/bars. The aeroplanes fly in extremely low over the houses as the airport is literally a few yards away, and fascinating to watch them landing.

2nd trip here in 2 years. This time North from Moorings in Grenada. Carriacou a little disappointing, Tyrell bay is packed with live aboard junk ass boats. Union is a constant, good natured boat boys. Skipper is a keeper. Avoid Lambi’s and the perennial Charlie Brown who will follow you around all day and night, a total pariah. Snack shack is a great place, friendly and reasonable food, good cocktails. Say hi to Romeo in his van and later go to his beach BBQ in Tabago Cays. He’s a real gentlemen, lovely family man and great host. Take a trip over to Chatham bay. Boat taxi is quick but will run you $50 return. If you’re bare boating anchor off the newish beach club to the south and avoid some of the places at the north end (although the snorkeling is best here). Lots of stagnant water and hence mosquitos. The beach club is owned by an Italian gent and run by a sweet polish gal, Magdalena. She works her socks off and gets grief from the locals. We went beer and rum shopping for her as we drunk the place dry one morning. In Clifton there is a nice supermarket behind customs and a Visa Card friendly ATM opposite that. If the customs guy has been on a bender you can clear in and out at the airport which is literally 6 minute walk from the jetties on the harbor wall.
Lots of cute stray dogs that need flea meds and neutering so drop sole scratch in the donation box at Snack Shack! Have fun and be safe

We stayed 3 nights on Union Island and used Jude’s for all our needs.
Jude took over and back to Mayreau.
We spent a morning over at Chatham Bay.
He also took us over to Carriacou and processed all the immigration paperwork on our behalf.
Jude was safe and reliable on all our trips. Even if the crossings were a little rough, he got us across safely and slowly. Thank you Jude

Stopped briefly to get some fresh provisions for our boat. Union appeared to very tourist orientated and friendly. We have not spent a couple of hours there but had a delightful lunch and thouroughly enjoyed ourselves.
