- Soulkidd79London, United Kingdom81 contributionsSo Much Packed in Such A Short Life...Really great tour, the guide made it so much more fun, really clever to theme some key parts (also a sing along or two) around Bob Marley songs. Really informative and a trip to Kingston is not complete without it (I would say it is the top attraction in Kingston actually). The theatre piece towards the end was very moving and the house itself contained original artefacts, even the holes where the bullets were lodged in the walls from the assassination attempt. What made it more poignant was that it was exactly 40 days to the day of the assassination attempt we visited. Another key point was the studio most of his recordings were made and a history of Island records and how the house came to be bequeathed to Bob Marley. Pictures not allowed inside- and understandably so. The memories will live with me for long to come. Good fun, sometimes emotional and in all, very highly recommended.Visited December 2022Written 12 December 2022

The tour guides are very personable and provided a lot of information, in a way that was easy to digest. - andrew s5 contributionsBob Marley museum visit. Our tour guide was awonderful young RASTAMAN who gave a brilliant tour. He was knowledgeable, humours, and patient. He made us really connect with the Vibes and history of Bob Marley. Honest and clear answers to many questions. The house was so real and had so many aspects to it. The film, at the end, filled and enlightened the history of Bob Marley. For me, it's amazing. Thank you, Rita and the family.Visited January 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 2 February 2023
- Fr0gemax77 contributionsWorth a long drive! After a long drive, I was glad that it was worth the discomfort of a packed minibus. Our guide round the museum was a young girl so full enthusiasm that she made everyone liven up and get involved. Loads of Marley information, and even if you are not a superfan, you will still have a great time.Visited January 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 5 February 2023

- Suzi1 contributionA must do in Kingston!Suzanne was our tour guide and she was amazing!! Full of energy, charisma and an abundance of knowledge about Bob Marley. An absolute must see if you go to Kingston. It was a shame we couldn't take photos inside (as I have a terrible memory) but I respect the reasons why. Overall, a brilliant start to our holiday.Visited April 2023Written 1 May 2023

With our engaging and knowledgeable guide Onika, we learned all about the site, and the life of a true legend. The tour ends with a video that includes performances and interviews with Bob Marley, along with many important people in his life, and the whole visit takes about 90 minutes. Well worth a visit, and make sure to buy your tickets in advance, because the tours can sell out.

Loved every minute! Our guide was Irie Sue and she was so full of enthusiasm and a great storyteller. A definite must if you're a fan of Bob Marley. Also had a delicious cup of Marley coffee and a pattie (of course) as we had about a half hour wait before our tour started. Grabbed a few tshirts from the gift shop after the tour and checked out Marley Natural also.

Our tour guide Crazy was absolutely amazing. He was filled with a lot of information about Bob Marley.
His energy was great. I went last year but didn’t do the tour. I’m so glad that I waited and has Crazy as a tour guide.

The guide was very well informed and fun, but the group was too large for the home. This I was disappointed with considering that they charge $25 USD per head. The documentary was good, the gift shops were too expensive so we bought nothing instead of spending another $50USD as we had planned.

This tour was amazing and we had the best host ever Irie Sue! She is a while mood! Irie Sue was so knowledgeable, witty, engaging and entertaining. She really brought the tour to life and kept us on our toes, really captivating us not only with the stories of Bob and the cronology of his career but her energy, infectious humor and own renditions of Bob's greatest hits. Kudos to the museum for providing a really good look into the life and works of this Living Legend and sharing the well preserved artifacts with us. It was a great tour! I was also appreciative if the fact that it started on time and they even made an allowance to assist us with an advance viewing as we had to catch a flight. This was only made better by the fact that we then saw Marcia Griffths at the airport!! Definitely a must do if in Kingston and the price was very affordable at J$3k for adults.

On my mom's surprise trip to Jamaica I took her to the Bob Marley Museum. This experience made her entire day and trip. Our tour guide was Ricky Chaplin and my mom absolutely adored this gentleman. Ricky was extremely pleasant, funny, entertaining and very knowledgeable which made the experience even more enjoyable. If you are ever flying into Jamaica, the Bob Marley Museum is a place that you have to visit. The museum is just breath taking and so interesting that it will not only leave you with knowledge and positivity but great happiness inside. I would like to thank Mrs. Marley, the staff there and Ricky Chaplin for giving the people and my mom especially such great memories as she cannot stop telling her friends about this experience back home !

Visited this museum for the first time, despite visiting Jamaica many times. The tour guide, Irie Sue, was excellent. She really made the time pass quickly while providing in depth information and ensured her audience interacted throughout. An excellent trip.

Hey guys!
Where's better to visit? The Museum or the Mausoleum? We only have one day and gotta choose one. We will be in Ocho Rios, driving.

I would go with the mausoleum since you have limited time. Coming from Kingston (where the museum is) there’s a lot of traffic if you don’t leave before 2 pm.

It took us 16 hours round trip, but went with amity tours & transfers, we're recommended this company, took us for a tour round Kingston, Beverly hills, gave us a tour of usain bolt training ground & school, driver had lots of knowledge about Kingston, enjoyed the tour more. You can contact these direct threw fb messenger & they get back to you straight away with prices & excursions, little bit dearer than tour operators, but felt very safe & had a deeper tour in the mountains, to what we would of got on a coach.
