    An excellent beach
We stayed 2 nights on this small Caribbean island. The island is worth a visit. Without a doubt, the best beach is Grande Anse. Extensive beach, with white sand, calm and warm sea water We came once at the end of the day and the next day we did it again, which just shows that we liked it. Very good. It's also worth renting a car and seeing the rest of the island.

    Great Grenadian Beach
We had a fantastic day at grand anse beach and can’t wait to come back. Chairs were $10 each. We sat under a tree. There were plenty of bar servers on the beach. The water was warm enough for swimming and not too rough. We took a cab from town $10 per person and the water taxi back $5 per person. I can’t wait to visit Grenada again.

    Grande Anse Beach in Grenada
We went to this beach with a water taxi which took 15 minutes and cost $5. It is a nice long beach, but as you arrive there locals try to sell you chairs for $5 each. There are also bars and services nearby, so beach employees walk by with menus and bring you food and drinks. You can definitely hear music playing from the nearby bars.

    Beautiful Beach
Wow this is a beautiful place! Huge, beautiful, white sand beach without a ton of traffic. There were 2 of us, later joined by another couple, and it was like we had the beach to ourselves. There’s a beer shack nearby, which comes in handy too. Any trip to Grenada should include a day at Grand Anse!

    Beautiful
I’ve wanted to see this beach since I read about it about 15 years ago. Unfortunately the reef is dead so no snorkelling opportunities (according to staff in our hotel). We went and walked its length and enjoyed the beauty of it. When we went there were lots of families and groups all socialising. It was quite busy. But not unenjoyable.

Some Beaches Are Worth The Visit
The best way to compare this is that this beach is the Destin, FL of the Caribbean. The sand is white and the water is clear! You are able to watch the fish swimming around you it is so clear. Grand Anse is just amazing. The waves are easy to wade into it and there was not a bad current or concern for rip tides while we were there. Bring cash with you if you are interested in purchasing food and drink from the few onsite vendors there. There is a restaurant 'Umbrellas', however, we did not patron it. You can purchase a couple of lounge beach chairs while on site. There is an older gentleman by the beach whom you can get them setup for a nominal fee. He is also the same guy selling out drinks out of his beach side store front. Just take a few hours and come to relax and enjoy if you are visiting Grenada.

Nice beach day on cruise ship stop.
Nice beach visit for a cruise ship stop. Water taxi to beach $15pp return. Road taxi want $10pp each way but try to bargain down. Travel time about 25mins or longer with one lane roads and traffic, especially on afternoon return to ship in city centre. Beach vendors asking $25-30 for two chairs. But can walk past them and the whole beach is empty and can find a shady tree instead. Overcast day, so wouldn’t say it’s the best beach in the Caribbean, but would rate it as a nice beach. Sand was relatively soft. But found in order to enter the water you need to traverse a think band of broken coral and sea shells (about 10 feet or more). Once past this hurdle, then the sea floor quickly drops by 2-3 feet while waves keep rolling in. So be careful with kids as they will unlikely be able to touch the bottom. Once past this point it reverts back to a sandy bottom. People always coming by trying to sell drinks.

Beautiful beach & close to cruise port
This was unexpectedly the best stop on our 14 day cruise. Took a 5 minute water taxi ride from the cruise port ($ 15/pp round trip) to a beautiful white sandy beach with perfectly calm warm water. Loved how close this beach was to the cruise port so we could spend more time there without worrying about getting back to the ship. A very relaxing and enjoyable beach day. 10/10.

    Great beach day
Always a fun day on this beach. Water taxi from cruise terminal $15 return per person though I believe you can take a bus for $1 but probably nit as fun. Beach is clean and sea clear. Lots of sun beds and umbrellas for hire. Free Wi-Fi and small market place with drinks, souvenirs and spices for sale.

Very nice beach. We came in on a cruise and someone suggested taking the water taxi from the port to the beach. It’s only about 15 min ride. They were asking for $5 usd per person.
There is a ride sharing app called Haylup and we tried it on the way back. It was actually much cheaper (we have 5 in our family) than the water taxi. It took a little longer cause there was traffic but I preferred it.

Grand Anse beach is about as nice as you can get. Nice sand, beautiful water.
You can snorkel there but not much to see.
Lots of trees for shade.
There’s a mall and shops about 7-8 blocks away if you want to go for a walk.

I count Grand Anse in one of the best beaches I've been to.
It's easy accessible from St. George's with water taxi, regular taxi or public mini vans. I recommend the mini vans as they're an economic and reliable option. Regular taxi will ask around 20$ one way, while the mini van costs 1$ pp and you feel the local vibe. It takes around 15-20 min.
The beach is stunning - white powder sand with crystal clear turquoise sea, all that with great views of St. George's bay across. There're sunbeds and umbrellas to rent, as well plenty of free space. Many restaurants and bars, along with an open air mini mall somewhere around the middle. Enjoy this Caribbean paradise.

We arrived by a water taxi and the beach was beautiful we hired Sunbeds between us all at $10 each. Perfect.
However we had a server called flash (avoid him) at first he was lovely. Told us he would do 12 beats for $25 we got 3 buckets through the day to share between us all. As we were leaving he tried saying we had 5 buckets he got very aggressive. But we stuck to our guns but then he said he never said $25 he said $36. He was horrible. In the end we paid for 3 at $36 as he was really nasty.
Please use other servers. One said he does it all the time. Apart from him it’s well worth a visit. We enjoyed our day.
Once back on the boat we heard Flash had done this to a few groups that day.

Boarded Wilson the Grenadian cab driver’s shuttle/cab for Grande Anse beach. We left the cruise pier 20 minutes after we boarded the cab/shuttle because Wilson was trying to fill up his cab. We bought a round trip fare which was a mistake. it was cheaper $30 instead of $40 for 2 one ways, but it locked us in to return to the pier with Wilson at the specified time. Wilson picked us up as promised at grand anse at 2 then drove 10 min south to pickup other passengers at mariposa beach. We waited in the hot cab 45 minutes for his other fare. we learned later that wilson told the Mariposa passengers that their pickup time would be 3:00 and that he would pickup the grand anse beach goers at 2:00 drop them at the pier and then pickup the Mariposa people at 3:00 obviously that didn’t happen.
Lessons learned:
1) don’t ride with Wilson
2) don’t get suckered into a round trip fare
3) take a smaller cab. stick with cars and minivans not 24 seat shuttles like Wilson’s

Grand Anse Beach was nice. water was the warmest of the cruise. The beach was busy but didn’t seem overly crowded. we were close to the spice market. Two lounges and an umbrella were $30. lounges were clise together but the rows of lounges were well spaced. the beach is large so walking a 100 feet in either direction you could escape the crowd by the spice market. we walked to coconut beach for lunch which was excellent i had the catch of the day Marlin and my wife had fish sticks and a couple of drinks for about $55. however we waited over an hour for our food and the waitress was not very friendly. there were also food vendors at the spice market if you don’t have the time to wait.

The drinks service was very good but the beach chairs are very expensive and very uncomfortable. Cushions are available but when we asked for one we were repeatedly ignored. Insist on having the cushion in your hands before you pay up otherwise they can’t be bothered. Packed in like sardines and there is nothing to see in the waters off the beach.

While not overly pestered on arrival I sorted my sun lounger plastic no mattress (no mattress on netting base lounger required) then drinks person came with menu food and drink prices in US Dollars a bucket of 6 Stag beers (local brew) 24 US dollars x 2.75 exchange rate that is 66 East Caribbean dollar equivalent, now in a bar you’ll pay 5 ECD for 1 bottle do the math 6x5 is 30 eh? So the bar Vendor is making a 36 ECD mark up that my friends is 100%+ profit
A group of French patrons called in the local “beach policeman” 🤪🤔😂😱😎 who sided with the beach vendor now who’s greasing who’s pocket ?
By the way I paid the $24 because I was was very thirsty and gave him the benefit of doubt cos I got bottles in a partially ice filled bucket!!
Be aware folks!!!!

This was our first port on MSC Seaside and what a beautiful island to visit! Arrived at around 8.30/8.45am and the beach was very quiet.

After looking at other reviews on here we decided to go to this beach and took a water taxi which we took form the main port. This was $10 return (US $) and took about 5 minutes to cross.

On reaching the beach we were greeted by many local beach workers (not hounded) we decided to go to the left of the jetty and booked 2 sunbeds with a parasol and table for $25 for the full day.

Rose then served us drinks and food (bucket of 6 beers, lemonade, sandwich, fries and chicken wings oh and 2 rum punch 😂 cost a total of $60)

Overall a fabulous day, not overly expensive and the locals cannot do enough!

We was on a short tour around the island and after visiting this green tropical country we was taken to this beautiful and relaxing beach which was a short drive from our cruise ship. We hired sun beds & umbrella which were cheap in which we had cold drinks brought to us in a iced cool box for a good price. The sand and sea was lovely which added to a relaxing few hours in the Caribbean sunshine.

Everything about this beach is PERFECT! From the sunsets to the long walks on the beach. It's very calm but be warned when a cruise ship is in it will be overpopulated with tourists. By 4pm the tourists all leave to head back to the ship so it becomes very quiet. There are a lot of public beach bars along the beach so take a walk and enjoy the scenic view.

Clean beach with clear blue sea. I was on this beach with the locals at 6 am in the sea greeting people and then with fellow tourists later that day and night.
Quiet during the week, busy on Saturday and Sunday when St George college students descend and go to Umbrellas.
Great to walk along not as easy to run on. Overall a great escape from everyday life
