Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful batik dresses, shirts, paros and other various items like napkins, jewelry and art. Items are limited so if you do like something, buy it as it won’t be there the next time you come around. Great place to pick up gifts. Worth the splurge.

Beautiful Batik shop on Young St, St George’s (as someone else mentioned it is very close to Grenada museum)
Batik is not cheap but IMO worth it to have a long lasting something from Grenada. There are also smaller items such as scarves, purses, scrunchies, napkins etc to choose from, also for children. They also have a small selection of tasteful local crafts which we have struggled to find elsewhere on the island.
It is worth asking if you can visit the work room upstairs where they are very friendly and enthusiastic about the techniques and fabrics.

I went out of my way to find this shop. Firstly, the building inside is quite unique and shows how old it is. The batik work is wonderfully done. Unfortunately, they didn't have a lot of stock so I didn't find what I wanted. Maybe I'll just have to come back!

The city is not full of high end artwork, so I was thrilled to walk into this shop to see handmade, beautiful batik, made into many different clothing items. You will pay a relatively high price but will be buying a treasure.

The historic building is brightly painted outside but once inside its a mesmerizing array of colour, creativity, artisan fabrics, cards, jewellery, t-shirts and shirts for men, stunning well-made soft cotton batik dresses for women and many items for children. Even the bag your purchases go into is stunning and environmentally friendly made from a printed magazine called "Compass" and it's just stitched together to make a bag, printed on mine was an article about "Vincent Van Gogh" which Christine and I saw the exhibit of his work, I thought how apt as we were researching the capital for her visit in February. Wendy the owner was interesting and knowledgeable about her products, it was such a good feeling in the shop, the amount of work that goes into producing the fabrics (which we plan on visiting the workshop again in Feb) there was detail in every aspect of this creative space from the bright blue ceiling to the silk printed scarves. The prices are reasonable for the effort of work, the last time I bought Batik was in Mexico 1995 and it is still as bright and fresh as the day I bought it. Grenada should celebrate and help in every way possible to keep this joyous, artistic venture alive and producing.

This is a lovely authentic boutique with so many lovely items of clothing, accessories and fun gifts. We were lucky enough to be invited into the workroom and the artists showed us how each piece is designed and made. Some great artwork on display too, hope to revisit before the end of our holiday :)
If you’re searching for a unique locally made gift look no further!

This shop is across the street from the House of Chocolate. Lots of items on display: fabric, scarfs, head wraps, clothes, jewellery and other trinkets. Love the earthy feel. You’re sure to see something you like, but items are a bit pricy, though.

The shop was really attractive. The house was painted in red and the shades from the sun were blue.

This was especially for women, dresses, pants and more.

Worthwhile to see!

Had a chance to return with family and everyone was delighted with not only the colourful items for sale in main shop but also the demonstration of the fabric preparation using wax and color dyes!
