we did the full day jeep safari tour and thought it was amazing! we visited the annadale waterfall for a swim, the grand etang lake, fed the wild monkeys on the way -so take some bananas incase you see them :) and went swimming in the natural sulphur hot springs which was amazing -we could have stayed there all day! we then booked the river tubing combination tour so got the chance to go back to the hot springs again ;) then onto river tubing which was fantastic and so much fun, this company and both tours come highly recommended and is a must for anyone visiting grenada!!

We visited Grenada on a cruise stop. Our original tour was cancelled and so we made what turned out to be a great choice of river tubing.
The drive from the cruise port to the river was an adventure in itself. Be prepared for lots of curves and tight roads.
The tour itself was great. The water was warm and the guides were so helpful and gracious. The only problem with this tour is when it was over because we could have done it over and over. It was great to float through the lush green forest.
You will want to bring water shoes if you have them and your smile because you'll use that too.

We were picked up at our hotel (six of us) in an old Land Rover which is completely open in the back with padded bars so that you can stand up and hang on while you look around and take pictures. I stood up the entire time and took a lot of beautiful photos and videos of the island. The driver was very informative and gave a lot of history of the island and pointed out many important landmarks. He was also happy to answer all of the many questions I had. We drove to a hot Sulphur spring in the mountains and then went intertubing on the river. The tubing was great, and the river guides were wonderful, but I wish it had been longer. Then we rode back to the hotel, again standing up in the jeep the whole way. This is a good day's worth of activity, and a great way to see the island and learn about it. Make sure to take some cash to tip the driver and the guides. Don't take anything very valuable, because you will have to leave your things in the jeep while you are on the river. I would recommend a towel, a little cash, and maybe a waterproof camera if you have one. Nothing else. You aren't allowed to wear sunscreen in the river because it harms the aquatic life. Please go into this with a good attitude and a willingness to go with the flow. Complainers ruin everyone else's day.

The tubing was ok, the river was low so we got stuck a lot and the young man had to work hard, The owner Lisa fell into the water when she tried to stop my tube so we were unable to get our pics. We told her how to dry phone and she promise to send pics but never did even though we knew her phone was fixed. I called the num that the hotel booked for us and gave me her name. I rang the num, she answer and i establish that it was her, the min I said why i was calling she said that she was another Lisa and that i called a wrong num. We gave her and the young man a nice tip so it really hurt that she found it necessary to lie and be deceitful.

We enjoyed our trip on the jeeps to the sulphur pond and river tubing. Friendly, informative guides and river tubing was fun.
Unfortunately, the following day my daughter became extremely ill which ruined the rest of her holiday (hardly able to leave the room, couldn't eat for 5 days). Since our return to the UK, Drs have confirmed it was shigella. It seems most likely that she caught this on this trip from the water in the rainforest - of course we cannot know for sure!
It was a great day but go into it with your eyes open!

My husband I and left the Celebrity cruise ship and went out of one of the side doors at the shops to find a taxi to show us around the island. A guy there that was getting all the cabs together and asked if we wanted to join 2 other couples and go river rafting. We jumped in the van with the other couples and took off. It was a scenic drive but once we arrived everything went downhill. When we arrived they outfitted us in hard hats and life vests and we went to get our rafts. While we were waiting the people who paid the cruise ship showed up and we were made to give back our helmets and life vests and told we had to wait for the cruise ship visitors to go first and then come back and give us their rafts. My husband and another guy in the group where getting frustrated and the owner of the place started to show us a long knife, like a machete. During all of this we started to notice bumps on our legs. They were 'no see ums' or sand fleas. As the bumps continues to grow we all decided to leave and find other places to visit. The end result? Over 100 bug bites for each of us and they are MISERABLE. When we came back people thought he had chicken pox or measles his legs were still that torn up. So to end this I cannot comment on the actual rafting but if you do this trip bring LOTS of bug spray so you save yourself the agony of the bug bites we endured.

The trip to the river was quite adventurous since the road was washed away along steep cliffs with no guard rails and a speed demon driver. Once we got there, we put on helmets and life vests then the river guides gave us a brief orientation. From there it was a big disappointment, but perhaps this was because the water was relatively low.

The guides literally pushed us through the rapids and then splashed us in an apparent effort to make the trip more exciting. It wasn't just light, playful splashing, it was full body splashes at unexpected times - and not fun. At one point my contact lens washed out and I asked - then begged - the guides to stop splashing. They smiled and made mocking comments to each other, "She doesn't want to be splashed" (in a snarky tone) but didn't stop, which was just plain miserable. At several points along the way, they require the entire group (around 40 people) to stop and hold onto a rope across the river so that we can then go one-by-one through the "rapids" (i.e., rocks that they would push us through and splash water on us). Since we had to wait for the entire group to collect, this meant waiting about 5 times for 5-10 minutes each; it would've been a lot more fun to be allowed to keep going, but maybe this was their way to make the river ride last at least an hour.

After the river tubing, we were given a cup of rum punch and could buy spices. I did buy a beautiful spice necklace that a local woman made and sold. That was the best part of the trip!

Overall, I wouldn't recommend this trip unless you enjoy the splash rides (like Splash Mountain at Disney) and that's all you're looking for in a shore excursion.

The first part of the trip is an open jeep ride through the interior of the island. We saw villages and jungle. Babyface our tour guide was like a walking encyclopedia! He knew the answer to anything we threw at him not just history but plants, animals, statistics on all the demographics of the island. Plus he was extremely funny. The next step was to go to the sulpher springs. It was a hike but completely doable. I'm not that big a nature girl so I didn;t get in but everyone else did. Babyface explained the medicinal purposes of the springs and how to spread the mud on their faces. I was too busy watching the enormous millipedes walking around. Nature was everywhere. when everyone was dried off, we hiked back down to the jeep ( it was under 5 minutes) where we were given some refreshments before we loaded back up to head to tubing. I already mentioned i'm not a nature girl so I was pretty nervous. The group of men that helped us were awesome! I actually had fun (my husband picked this tour can you tell!) they made sure we were safe and stayed with us the whole time. I even jumped off the cliff into the water. Once we finished we were given some homemade rum punch and chatted with everyone on the tour. Then we made our way to the rainforest. I really wanted to see the monkeys but everyone around said they had already left. ( ok so that nature I would have been ok with) All too soon we were back at our resort after a lovely day. I just want to impress that the tubing was safe. I'm a scaredy cat and hit them with every dumb question out there including are there leeches in the water. It was a great time. Make sure you bring a towel. Also it's best to bring water shoes instead of flip flops for the tubing and getting in the sulpher springs.

Well, they say life is just one big adventure- eh? We booked this adventure river tubing excursion off the cruise ship and I would say the drive there was as much a part of the experience as the river tubing, if not more so. Our driver would stop and show us native vegetation and even buy or pick things off trees for us to try! We were able to buy spices (this is, after all, the Spice Island) as well as spice necklaces from the locals along the way. Staff at adventure tubing were very, very safety conscious- maybe too much so-my husband, daughter and I were fitted with helmets and water vests (water probably wasn't more than a foot deep) before getting in the tubes. River was not flowing very heavily but I guess that varies with season.

On a honeymoon cruise with Celebrity, booked this as one of the excursions. Was a lot of fun! The staff are very friendly, they get you in the mood and were very well organised. Our only regret is not having a waterproof cover for our phone so we couldn’t get any pics once we got started. Highly recommended if you’re looking for something fun to do in Grenada. Irie 👍
