Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went for our honeymoon and had a great time. Grishon helped us so much and gave us a great time and even ate breakfast with us. He was a good friend to have while down here and help us figure things out around the island.

The beach looks lovely but it is difficult to get in and get out. It is very steep and gets deep quickly. The water is clear and the sand is tiny pebbles so not too soft.

This is in an idyllic setting and is the perfect spot to enjoy a walk as the sun is starting to set. The sea is warm so it is ideal for paddling or swimminig.

Being beach people regardless of where we stay the beach is somewhat important. By somewhat, I mean the water has a sandy bottom, gentle wave, clean, clear and segregated from the boating and fishing areas. Sounds like a lot but hotels position themselves on the very best waterfront that the island has to offer, especially the better resorts it should be expected. I assume Sandals is one of the better resorts, that’s another review. Fronted by The Pink Gin Beach and a matter of fact a section of the resort named for the beach, Sandals is the only hotel/resort on this beach and it’s probably a good thing. The beach is protected by artificial barriers to protect it from further erosion. You can tell that the area was once much larger and the rock piers were constructed to protect what survived. The water is a pleasant sloping sand covered area very gentle, clean waves are able to penetrate the stone monsters that block any view once you’re in the water. An odd occurrence that I have to believe wasn’t rare for the area was, I and a neighboring swimmer were bit by some sort of fish/animal at nearly the same time. Painful but no blood or permanent damage. Kind of put a damper on swimming there though. Sandals takes good care of the relatively deep beach of clean tan sand. Numerous activities are set up on the beach as well as a waterfront seafood restaurant. Aerobic exercise and a weekly beach party take place front and center on the small beach that gives you the feeling of a private beach. Overall not a great beach but sufficient for a resort of that size.

When we arrived we saw a pillar. This must be the Pink Gin Beach. It was 6 P.M. and there were only about 4 people, besides the one in a kayak.

There were trees at some places.

The beach was light brown and the ocean was getting higher.

We saw some rocks and boulders. This was attractive!

Worthwhile to see!
