Experience the Glass bottom boat tour of the sculptures
Captain Wally and the glass bottom boat was a top rate experience. While I am sure that snorkeling and diving also make the sculpture experience great, the glass bottom boat was awesome and a definite plus for those who chose not to get in the water (both snorkeling and diving options were offered and available). The boat was named the Sun Lover and it is painted in bright colors and will delight both children and those who are young at heart. Captain Wally provided an awesome tour narrative and had a special treat for the adults. It was nice to see all the underwater life on the way to the sculptures and there was time to see all the sculptures. While there are a bunch of tours available, the Captain Wally experience is one you do not want to miss.

    Interesting art in the ocean.
The sculptures were amazing and we did the visit as a dive with Dive Grenada who are fabulous and highly recommended. The sculpture are very interesting although we missed a couple of them, isn’t easy to find them all. It was fairly busy with a combo of divers and snorkelers and unfortunately the visibility was less than amazing the day we went. Would love to do it again on a calm day.

The sculptures and the history behind them was an unusual dive site to visit and a great story behind the inception, given that the figures were from Grenadian
folklore.

We did a scuba dive to the underwater sculpture gardens. It has a $100 US charge to the government. Not very deep. Poor visibility the day we went. Would’ve liked to really examine the cement sculptures each more but you have to stay with your group.
The newer ones were more recognizable but the older ones had coral growths on them.

Wally from the glass bottom boat made our snorkeling experience the best one we have had. He was amazing and really enjoyed showing us around and sharing all he knew about the island.

Went to Dragons Bay and hired a boat with a local, who took us to sculpture park, and provided us with life jackets he was very informative. There's a bar run by Garvin and he was helpful.

By far this was the best tour we had in Grenada.
Some useful info, facts and tips to plan better and save money:
- you cannot go on your own and snorkel or dive there, but you must do it with a tour,
- if on a cruise, do not book via your ship as like every other tour it's heavily overpriced,
- book directly, well in advance, with a local tour operator,
- we chose Eco Dive as they offered snorkeling on two sites for the same price: here and at the coral reef,
- most agencies are located on a stunning Grand Anse beach (arrive earlier to have some time on this great beach) from where the tour starts,
- when heading to Grand Anse do not take a taxi from the cruise port (they'll rip you off with around 20$). Walk to the Carenage promenade (10 min and picturesque to see) from where you catch the mini van with locals ( 1$ pp). Same applies for returning back,
- have in mind this is not a sculpture underwater park to gain tourist money. It was made on purpose in 2006 to regenerate the devastated ecosystem caused by Ivan hurricane in 2004. It was built by British artist Jason Taylor with PH neutral non-toxic concrete in order to attract sponges and coral life on it, therefore DO NOT touch sculptures down,
- it was the FIRST such installation worldwide, later copied by many (Cancun, etc....),
- the sculptures are at the depth from 5 to 8 meters - if you're afraid of snorkeling you can still see them floating on surface (though not that clear as when you dive down). My wife and daughter put a mask and fins for the first time in their life - were pretty afraid in the beginning, but in the end had a great time thanking me I made them do that,
- there are several sets of sculptures and you'll have problems finding them on your own. So, just follow your guides (there're two of them with you in the water) and they'll show and explain each of them,
- we had a great visibility as there was no rain in previous few days. I suppose rain and wind can spoil the adventure, but it's a matter of luck you cannot predict when you book a month or two in advance (and you must do so, as free spots do sell out),
- to have the idea of time: plan around 5 hours in total. The tour lasts around 2,5 hours, count on 30-45 min each way to come/return to Grand Anse and an extra hour to enjoy this great beach.

It's a cool concept to see the underwater sculptures and nothing I'd seen before. I was snorkeling and the sculptures are quite a way down to see - it is better diving. We also went to flamingo bay which I thought was much better for snorkeling as the corals are closer to the surface and there seems to be more marine life to see.
