Great safe quiet and perfect hideaway spot
Amazing beach, less crowded, superb sand and great clear waters with fish swimming by. This spot is great with two good eateries and bars nearby somewhere do you to easily eat and chill between the waves. Superb for families to relax and unwind. Great for sandcastle building too. Safe shallow waters for little ones also for a few meters.

    Beautiful Beach. Spectacular Sunset
Grand Anse Beach is beautiful and deserves its reputation as the most popular beach on Grenada, but Morne Rouge Beach, otherwise known as BBC Beach to locals, is just as nice. It's a much smaller beach but still a half mile in length. While it's no hidden gem with plenty of beachgoers when I arrived in the midafternoon, the beach is big enough allowing you to spread out and it never felt crowded. You can rent loungers and umbrellas but there are also many trees along the back of the beach providing shade. There are several beach bars available, and I enjoyed Rocky's which is located about halfway down the beach where it is less crowded compared to the northern end of the beach. We stayed until sunset, and it was spectacular. The numbers on the beach really thinned out late in the day and there was just a handful of us there at sunset.

    Sweet surprise
What a sweet surprise Grenada was. We stopped in our cruise ship and had about 7 hours to explore. We went to Palm Tree Botanical Gardens, La Sagesse and BBC beaches and could not have been happier with our day. The people were the sweetest and the island is beautiful. Definitely going back for a longer stay.

Be careful walking. GPS is wrong
BBC Beach. I had a bit of nightmare getting there . Ended up in the hills somewhere following GPS. I walked from Grand Anse beach , just make sure you swerve in when you see cars and a bar . I never looked downward and just kept walking trusting GPS. Beach was quiet , calm, beautiful. Nothing going on at all. To the right there’s two beach bars . One had British soccer on. Thats where the steps are to go back to grand Anse . So much easier coming back.

Reduce your expectations and plan ahead and you can have a good time at this very kid friendly beach.

If you drove there...parking is a MAJOR pain in the butt. I lucked out with a spot next to the restaurants, but going up and down the steep hill with people parking on the side turns the steep road into a one way street.

There are a couple good places to get a beer and some good beach/bar food in Sur La Mer and La Plywood. If its crowded the service will be slow.

Once you get situated, you'll find yourself in a very picturesque setting as the beach is a small cove at the bottom of the hill that is surrounded by hills at every point.

The sand is some of the best in the area. The water has a high clarity, so its good for snorkeling... and several boat tours stop off at this location reinforcing the point.

The cove setting on the Caribbean sucks out all the wave energy so you are basically swimming in a sandy or grassy bottomed pool.

At the center of the cove is a large inflatable playground set in the middle of the beach, so it really is a great place to take your kids. There are some small hotels on the beach, so their are facilities that you can rent beach equipment or items for water sport activities.

Bottom-line: Its not my kind of beach (no waves) and its a pain in the butt to get comfortably settled into, but once you do...you can spend the whole day there.

Pleasant beach and sand with good safe swimming and water sports .when 2 cruise ships are in port it can be crowded.lounge chairs can be rented. The little hotel has a bar and food but the service is really slow. Over 1 hour wait=only average mark

We only visited this beach as the one we went to had rough seas. This one was lovely with plenty of sunbeds, shade from trees so no need to hire umbrellas. The beach is not too busy. There are inflatables for kids and a lovely bar. We would definitely visit again

This hidden beach is totally worth the hike! We walked from our hotel Seabreeze Hotel to this beach with our 6 year old son. We followed the Google Maps directions but then found the short cut on our way back. For future visitors, when hiking / walking to find this beach your land mark will be Mariposa Hotel. When you see this sign take the road that descends it will lead you straight to the beach. Don't go over the ridge it's a longer way. The beach is must smaller than Grand Anse and I preferred it. Not a lot of tourists and there are public bars where you can get eats and drinks. The water is very calm and clear. There are chair rentals on the beach.

This beach is quieter and less crowded than Grand Anse. Should keep it a secret. Several restaurants offer food and drink right on the beach. Some evenings there are BBQ's with torches and steel drum music.

Enjoy swimming and sunning here.

Arrived by taxi and spent a few hours at this beautiful local favorite beach. Chill under an Almond tree and relax in calm blue water. Check out La Plywood for a rum punch and great view of the bay.

Water is not clear in this seaweed covered small beach. Grassy ocean bottom beach used as a spot on guided tour stop. Go somewhere else.
