Beware of the women (employees of the Historical Landmarks Department) who are dressed in classic colourful cuban women. They force themselves in your picture without asking and then ask 5$ each person. And if you don't pay they get very agressive.

Very attractive building lots of tourists especially Americans coming in on the cruise ships. Can also be quite intimidating due to the locals.

A lovely square with restaurant and sidewalk shopping. The church is open for guests and photos can be taken inside.

I really enjoyed the vibe, the history, the people, the ice cream, the coffee! The place is safe, colorful. The vendors are not pushy. The ambiance is friendly.

The buildings on the square are photogenic and people passing by just make the experience more wonderful! Don't forget to pop into any buildings that are open to the public to see what behind the front door!

safe clean and many friendly people, several small cafes some with live music and reasonable prices. If you arrive by cruize ship there are street hustlers but that all disappears with in a block or so walking towards old town.
