Took the ferry to save some time to our destination. It's a quick ferry across the harbour but a nice opportunity to stretch the legs before carrying on.

Left exactly on time, quick crossing. Lovely water crossing view between two cute river port towns that had galleries and cafes.

Was recommended this as a day trip. The customer service was good, with easy to follow procedure to drive on and off the ferry. A short trip with sailings every hour and the drive back via Kaitaia offering stunning bush scenery. A good fun experience.

Easy to negotiate and safe and calm crossing. Great outlook all the way and a reasonable price. We could see where to queue and joined everyone else in the line. Bikes and motorcycles joined us as well.

Quick, efficient, friendly - admittedly the water was smooth as glass when we crossed. :-) The price is reasonable for a short crossing.

We were very excited about going across on the ferry. It is a great service, HOWEVER, after waiting 45 mins we realised that we could not board the ferry with our car and 7.5 metre caravan in tow at low tide. So disappointing. The ferries...More

Cars just line up as they arrive. Everyone loads up in that order.
