The caves were amazing - not sure worth 17chf per person. I would of given a better review, however when you purchase your ticket you’re advised this allows access to the museum. So we purchased 2 adult tickets and a dog ticket for 10chf, upon buying this the lady said we could also go in the museum.

So we headed down to the museum to be told our dog couldn’t go in - even though we bought a ticket as dogs were not allowed, but we could leave our dog tied up outside!!!

There is no description anywhere when you purchase a ticket to advise this and therefore we could not go in.

Short bus ride from Interlaken with great views of Lake Thurn. Not an easy climb to the entrance, once in the caves there are clear paths and markers to guide your way and educate you on the formation and history of the caves. The path leads you to the back of the caves where you then turn around and come to the starting point to exit. There is a cafe at the top that you can visit before or after the caves along with a gift shop. Caves were not all that impressive and the focal points were not well lit. If you have extra time in Interlaken go see it but there are other attractions worth visiting first.

I expected to see Elrond, Galadriel and Gandalf. It's like you've stepped into Rivendell!
We walked from Interlaken along the river to the lake then took a 21 bus the last part of the journey, obut you can take the 21 all the way or take a boat from Interlaken too. It took us just over an hour. It was worth it as the views at the falls, from the top and bottom, are amazing. The climb up is steady but fairly easy and it's easy to find your way to the amenities and cave entrance. The caves are easy to navigate and you feel like you've stepped back in time as you climb up through the stalagmites and stalactites. The rush of water through the caves adds to the atmosphere.

Great experience walking through the cave with my family. Parking at the bottom and then the hike up is the sweatiest part. There is a small children’s playground to stop off about 1/2 way up. Once inside the cave it’s so cool and refreshing on a hot summer day. The rushing water was fascinating to see and my favorite was the “Three Sisters” spot inside the cave!

Long lines to go in.
Too overrated. You go all the way back through the same route, passing by lots of people who are irritated because they need to let you go opposite direction.
Not at all spectacular waterfalls as described. Very poor and simple.
Does not worth the time and money spent.

My wife and I recently went to the St Beatus caves near to Interlaken
As we were staying in Interlaken west we decided to get on the number 21 bus which drops you on the road below . You can grab a few nice photos on the way up to the entrance. It was 19 Swiss fr. Each and it was more than worth it the Caves are big and take over an hour to walk around they are well worth a visit . Plus when you finish there is a lovely cafe . With stunning views out towards the lake . We chose to walk down to the lake and take the Paddle steamer boat on to Thun . Which was a lovely as both activities together make a very relaxing day. We took the train from Thun back to Interlaken west late afternoon. We had the Swiss pass so the bus the ferry and the train were all free

Very cool caves to visit. Parking can be a challenge but we lucked out and got a spot. A decent walk up to the entrance. The line looked a bit long to get a ticket but it moved quickly.
The caves are really interesting and beautiful. Amazing what nature can do. It can get a little congested in area where the path is narrow but not bad. Temps are nice and cool.
The museum included with the cave entrance is small but good info.

Stopped at a train station and looked out across the lake to see this place. A quick google search and look at the rainy forecast had me getting off and taking a short bus ride to the caves. So glad I did!!!! Absolutely love caves and these did not disappoint!!! It is a bit of a hike up a smooth but winding ramp to the entrance. After getting your ticket, you go through the turnstile and begin your walk. Beware that it is rocky and it can be slippery and cramped!! The caves have little monitors to explain what you are looking at. Overall, it took a couple hours to get through. It can get confusing at times if you don't pay attention to your path. So much fun and be sure to look for the Dragon near the exit!

The caves are well worth the visit, you walk just under one kilometre into the mountain and see amazing formations. Particularly special is the three sisters formation with its mirror effect. Bring warm clothes 12 degrees inside

We first wanted to go on a sunday in september, but there was no parking spot left. At the end of the afternoon we tried again, but still crazy crowded. Later during the week we had more luck.
Please be aware that from the parking lot it is a very steep clime and longer than expected to the entrance of the cave. It was a very hot day and no benches on the way up except for at the very end. So getting there was harder than the caves themselfs. Why were there no benches??? I saw another elderly lady as wel who really had a hard time getting there.
The caves are really nice, but we were glad we didn't go in on the sunday. Most of the path is two ways and even though it was a lot quiter it can be very narrow passing the other people.
As said, the caves are really beautiful. After our visit we enjoyed our coffee on the terras with a wonderfull view.
PS please don't forget to bring coins for the parking.
