We had an awesome 2-hour farm and beach ride! Cara matched us up well to her amazing good-natured horses. We had mixed riding abilities in our group of 4, and these were well catered to - those who wanted a slower steady pace were able to stay at a walk while the others of us had a good fast ride along the beach. It felt more like riding out with a group of friends than a trekking company ride. Such a beautiful area. Highly recommended, I'm sure we will be back.

Thoroughly enjoyed our trek, the views are stunning. As a nervous beginner, I was paired with the paired with the perfect steed. Thank you for taking such great care of us Cara. Great communication and a great price too. Highly recommend!

Unable to book on to due to not enough spaces, which was not a problem, but the manner it was dealt with was unhelpful and rude. Will not attempt to book on again. Very disappointed

Absolutley recommending and worth it! We had a wonderful and fun time with Cara and her lovely horses. We rode to the beach over fields and streets and water. Cara informed us about the region and her horses who had their own personalities. It's nice for beginners and maybe also nicer for people with experience because she gave us lots of freedom during the ride and the chance to chose a horse that we would like to ride. The opposite of a boring trekking one :-)

Thank you Cara for an amazing horse trek ...the views are incredible and horses were beautiful.. I really appreciated the time you took with my daughter to make her feel confident on her first riding experience!!! A highlight of our Catlins trip

We took our 15 and 12 year old daughters on the 1 hour adventurous trek, none of us were particularly experienced riders but Cara matched us all with great horses. We zig zagged our way up the hill to picturesque views of the Catlins. Cara is an awesome guide, checking often to make sure we were all comfortable etc, she gives a fascinating insight into the history of this beautiful area, pointing out many of the sights and attractions along the way. This is a must do activity, a wonderful relaxing way to see the Catlins from a different perspective. Thank you Cara!!

Cara was lovely and welcoming, we were introduced to our horses then made our way along the hillside to the beach. Great afternoon adventure. Highly recommend cara is a great guide and the horses were friendly.

We had an outstanding time with Cara and her super horses. I am very inexperienced rider and was well matched to the coolest horse ever. My partner is very experienced rider and was also well matched to a groovy dude. There was excitement, adventure, beautiful scenery, wildlife and education. Thank you Cara for a beautiful experience. Give Pam an apple for me.

The Catlins is a beautiful place to see, and what better way than to see it on horseback! The sights are stunning. Cara's operation is well organized; she is clearly very experienced & knowledgable about the area and horses! Cara and Neil are very attentive to riders' needs. Their horses are in great shape and extremely well kept. If you want to experience tons of the NZ country side (hills, ocean, mountains) in a fun way, with friendly, respectful and knowledgable New Zealanders, you will definitely want to ride here!

We went for a one hour trek. We had a mix of beginner riders and some with more experience and Cara was fantastic at making sure everyone felt safe and comfortable including matching the right horse to the right person. During the trek she also told us interesting facts and information about the history of the area. Beautiful scenery with views of the beach, forest and hills. Would highly recommend.
