We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you are you looking for unique, eye-catching and top quality Pacific fabrics and designs when you visit Rarotonga, look no further than Kay George Design Gallery, Main Road, Arorangi. Kay’s clothing is all hand painted or printed on 100% cotton and linen at her studio and most garments are one-offs. Garments can be made to order and there are also some on display in the Gallery. There are many prints and colors to choose from and Kay is always on hand to talk through designs and colors to suit. A trip to Rarotonga would not be complete without a visit to Kay’s Gallery in Arorangi – you will not be disappointed and you may come away with an original, stunning reminder of your holiday which will be sure to attract favourable comments when you get home. For a shopping experience with a difference, visit Kay’s Gallery at The Art Studio in Arorangi, Rarotonga in the beautiful Cook Islands.

Something lovely to view whilst its a rainy windy day or to have a break out of the sun. Love the reflection of the island and beautiful work in colours.

This is a must see art gallery on the western side of Rarotonga with a New Zealand artist and her Cook Islander husband plus children. The diversity of art treasures in here to buy is simply amazing, colours and originality abound and I am so pleased I purchased one of her colourful artworks. Thanks Kay it is up on our wall and we love it.

I don't know who wrote the other/first review of this gallery, but it sure sounded like someone with a relationship to the gallery. We have shopped in the gallery many times. It really has very little competition on Rarotonga, but having said that, the "art" for sale is not South Pacific or Cook Islands art. Its NZ "art" done by a NZ artist. We have found them less then accomodating. Emails are not returned, questions are not answered, concerns are not addressed. It is a shame there is not more of an arts community on Raro, but this gallery is not doing anything to solve the problem. If you happen to be in the gallery and see something you like, great, but after that the place is not worthwhile. A real disappointment.

This trip obtained 3 pieces! Love how this fabric art fits into any decor, including our fairly traditional home. She sells at the Beachcomber and Beluga. This is the second year i have picked something up and she says she is planning on expanding her line. So i expect to get another piece in 2020 when we return again! Fantastic!

I appreciate she is a local artist vs. buying some piece of junk made overseas and passed off as local!

This is original art that is affordable!

Worth popping in - a lovely building and space. Some good quality crafts as well as the art. Also a cafe there, but we didn't stay for food/drink - a great setting and looked like people were enjoying what they were having.

Kay George's Gallery is a must stop in Rarotonga. Kay is an artist who does her own sarongs with Island colors and designs.
