My family visited the Great Smokey Mountains National Park on Thanksgiving week. While in Gatlinburg we always stop here. This visit was special because my four year old Granddaughter was with me. Located two miles south of Gatlinburg inside the Great Smoky Mountains National Park...More

good parking and facilities, Provided a wealth of info on what to do and how to get there from the center. There is a nice 40 ft waterfall just a short hike from the parking lot.

We hiked to Cataract Falls, John Ownby Cabin, and had a picnic lunch at Chimney's Picnic Area. Nice gift shop but it is VERY crowded and parking is difficult. Also, it is nature so watch where you step.

This visitor center has a lot of information and many rangers walking around to answer questions. The parking lot is large but this is a super busy place so I would imagine that parking could be a problem often. There is a film if you...More

This place was so helpful! We stopped the last day of our trip. Wish we stopped sooner. We were driving way to far for good hiking trails! Miguel was so awesome!

This is a wonderful National Park visitors center but is very very busy. I believe this is the most utilized visitors center in the Great Smokey Mountains National Park so you'll have to deal with limited available parking (although they have a lot of spots)...More

Get here by 8 AM, when it opens and get lucky. Get here by 9 AM and fight massive crowds. Get your Park information BEFORE you travel to the Smokies. Don't count on a quick visitor center stop. It can't happen!

Typical National Park Visitors Center. Gift shop is a little smaller and has less selection than those at some of the other large popular national parks.
