The island is accessible by boat from a contracted company. They do not speak a lot of English but money sure does. The fare is affordable and you can bring your own food and beach supplies. My kids enjoyed gathering shells and tour the island...More

I love coming here and walking the trails on the island. I always bring a picnic from the Port Market, it’s a nice place to relax and spend an afternoon. There is a nice sandy beach and I enjoy walking the shoreline looking for sea...More

I love history, so this was great!!! It only take about an hour to walk. I do wish the history could also be in English, to get the full detail of each piece, but they did give us an English map. This old Japanese fortress...More

¥1300 return boat trip + entry to the island. The nature took over the war era fort. The souvenir shop opens only Sat, Sun and high seasons, so check before you go. It takes about one hour to walk around but if you are planning...More

Entrance to the island is buy boat and the pier is next to the Mikasa. There will be a queue for the boat onto the island so I recommend timing your visit or going early. The island is picturesque so don't be surprised to see...More

It was kind of peaceful when we went. The water was cold enough to stay and play for hours! The weather wasn’t too hot nor cold so we enjoyed it a lot!

You can easily explore most of the island in 1 hour, It's not a real hike, a hilly walk maybe. There are no monkeys there, just birds and bugs. Ruins are well kept. Bathroom was marginal. Snacks you can get there are few and far between...More

I found about this island from Trip advisor. My husband is interested in history of wars, so I had to take him there. It is a small island, so for a casual visit, one hour would be good enough, but if you would like to...More

There really is not much on the island. Trails cover the island with some WWII ruins. A small beach on one side. Lots of sea glass to pick up!

Could have spent all day there. We only went for an hour, which was enough time to see the island and eat with my kids. My kids mostly just wanted to play in the sand. Good food and drinks and free use of walking sticks,...More
