Sony Explora Science is a nice way to spend an hour. Kids will enjoy the exhibits as they are all interactive. Also excellent support for non-Japanese travellers. Only really interesting for kids between 6-12. Any older and it is pretty boring. Worth a quick visit...More

This place is quite small, but still very fun for the kids. There are many interesting exhibits about the latest technology from Sony. Some of those are small "games" that are fun to try out. We have spent maybe 1-2 hours in there and the...More

My 7 year old boy loved this place. I had initially planned to spend an hour there but we ended up burning more than 2 hours and my boy reluctantly agreed to leave. Amongst other exhibits, the smiling machine/ wall close the entrance proved to...More

We recently visited Sony Explora Science with our four children aged 6 to 14 years old and they all really enjoyed it, especially the "Smile Rating" machine! It is not a huge place but a great way to spend a few hours, kids would like to...More

From such bombastic name I was really expecting much more than what I saw: - examples of sound/image/touch-sensors/3D processing in various live exhibitions. It's mostly children oriented from my impression. I found few interesting things among those, but still from Sony expected something more bombastic...More

We visited Sony Explora Science recently with my 2.5 year old son. If you are considering a visit, please check the map as finding the access point can be troublesome since it is in a separate building from the main mall. Some of the activities...More

Hard to see the point with this place. If you are waiting for someone or something nearby you can browse through the various experiences. But it is not worth the visit. Better use your time in Tokyo / Odaiba elsewhere. Children might like it though.

This museum is fun and interactive if a little on the small side. The exhibits feel very original compared to US science museums and everything is touch-friendly - plus all the directions come in English so you know what's going on. Because of the limited...More

I expected something more, something expectional from a place like this. The "games" are OK and fun, but they are not representing state-of-the art technology. I.e. the 3D cinema nowadays is not a big deal, I missed the "wow" factor. Great place for kids, but...More

Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris
wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of
shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a
hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is
very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has
ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find
restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The
neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much
