Lots of regional fish from around the sea of Japan and nearby places. Nice jellyfish exhibit with a research focus. Worth the visit.

This aquarium was absolutely gorgeous. Very modern, a lot of nature and clean. The fishes were unique and beautiful to see but the penguins looked a bit sad to be in that space. The tickets are pricey but it’s fun to see different things

It’s a great aquarium to visit in the Tokyo area. Their main attraction was the penguins. They also have a jellyfish lab and you can see the lifespan of a jellyfish.

A small aquarium Tokyo skytree 4th floor. Its rather pricy. Limited sea creature. Not worth IMHO... There are better one around Tokyo such as in Kaisairinkoen

The Sumida Aquarium is not very large one, but organized with style and thoughtfulness. The most interesting features: aquariums with jellyfishes where you can observe how they grow (from several days to several weeks), and the area of penguins (main attraction) where these funny fellows...More

I initially dragged my feet here but was pleasantly surprised! There are some areas that are part art installation, and the open area with the penguins was a real surprise and treat. Fun for families, whether with kids or old folks. If only it were...More
