Historical place. IF you come out from this gate, you can see Capitol on your right. if you turn left, you will be approaching Ginza area. If you come in cherry blossom time, it is very beautiful.

The Soto Sakuradamon Gate is on the south side of the palace grounds and remains open all the time. It allows joggers and bike riding around the south east side of the palace and provides access to the east side where the primary tourist entry...More

Soto Sakuradamon Gate is very close to the entrance of the Eastern Imperial Gardens. The gate itself is very impressive and shows some of the fascinating history that is still present in downtown Tokyo!

This is one of a number of impressive gates into the outer area of the Imperial Palace and is quite impressive and if you are visiting then it is a good exercise to ealk around the Palace and enter this gate..

Sakuradamon, beautiful in its own right, is a nice starting point for a walk (or run) counter-clockwise around the Imperial Palace, a total of 5 kilometers. This will take you past all the gorgeous spots of the Palace, including the East Garden and Nijuubashi (Bridge)....More

Its just another gate of the Edo Imperial Palace complex, but you can find several cherry trees in here, excellent for pictures and very relaxing. Recommended to stop if you visit this area.
