Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just before the castle you can visit a corkscrew museum, it is a small place with very good collection of corkscrew. In the shop, you can find cool and special gadgets for wine. Worth a visit

This is a small museum dedicated to the history of the corkscrew. It contains hundreds, possibly thousands of corkscrews throughout history. There are also quite a few novelty corkscrews. If you have a few minutes to spare, it is interesting, but it is not a must see while in the Barolo region.

It's more of a big room full of corkscrews than a museum but still a nice way to spend a few minutes if you're interested in corkscrew history. It was only 4 euro per person for the visit. It's associated with a quaint little wine shop. It was more interesting than the bigger and more elaborate and weird wine museum across the street.

My partner and I were keen to taste some good Barolo and stumbled into this little museum and gift store. We decided to skip the museum and spend some money in sampling wine from the dispenser. Good to see they had some top producers (including Gaia) and age (including 1997 and 2001 vintages) to sample. Nice change to the young wines on offer at other tasting rooms and cellar doors.

Some amazing history of the simple corkscrew from the times they were used as a simple tool to open medicine bottles to the complex ones we use today. The store has some fun and inventive wine tools for sale.

There are so many different ways to open a bottle of wine and this museum has them - from antique to futuristic. There also is great wines to taste - sample the Gaia if you can't afford the price of a whole bottle.

I am a Corkscrew colector myself and I found this little place very interesting. The local shop also helps me to improve my collection. They sell some old fashion as well as modern marvelous pieces.

Amazing collection of corkscrews - but also hosted inside a great wine store. The corkscrews are well displayed, and also include some nice additional surprises, like old post cards, or a collection of 100 grappa bottles from Levi - a real treat. It will only take few minutes to visit it all, but it will amaze you with the originality and ingenuity of these corkscrews, and the amazing selection of items from all over the world. For the small entrance fee, you get a very nice and unique memory. Much better than wasting time and money at the Museo del Vino

We visited the corkscrew museum on a whim. It was really worth it! Lots of interesting corkscrews and lots of interesting items about their history and social development. If you are in or near Barolo, it is worth a short visit.
