We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The fried chicken was so good I almost forgot I was at a climbing adventure experience! it's good enough just to come for food and drink, the best in region climbing course was the icing on the cake!

I loved this place. There are 4 different rooms where you can do bouldering also they have the ropes.
From easy to challenging everyone will find the right holds to their levels. I highly recommend HangDog.

Visited here last week with my teenage girls and received shocking service.
The young man who gave us our safety debrief was rude, abrupt, impatient and dismissive.
There was another older couple who had taken their grandchildren for a climb and he was incredibly rude to them too; it was obviously their first time there and they left pretty soon after the debrief. I’m sure it was because of the shocking service.
I also hit my head on one of my climbs, the supervisor saw it happen but didn’t offer and assistance. Surely safety and First Aid should be a priority here?
We also asked for water, the only water available was from a jug but there were no clean cups!
On the plus side, the bouldering walls are good here and there are 2 self billet. But if you want to go to an awesome climbing wall, go to the one in Ohakune- it’s worth driving all that way than coming to this place.

Hangdog has always been on the list of things to do and today we did it.

It was awesome and my son and I were first timers and the staff and training was all outstanding. We climbed and climbed until our arms hurt :)

There are heaps of different skill levels catered for and the mix of options made it all really exciting. As first timers were nervous but that was all put to bed with extensive and knowledgeable instruction.

Highly recommended for anyone keen on something different

I was really impressed by this indoor rock climbing wall. It had lots of options and there we wee kids as young as three years old climbing there as well as some hard core lead climber hanging upside down. The team that run it were really friendly and keen to help.
