Great side trip after visiting Jerash on our way back to Amman. Beautiful views and very well preserved! There are many stairs inside - may not be a good destination if you have knee problems.

Easily reached within an hour from Amman and well worth doing if you heading to Jarash. We entered using the Jordan Pass. You can hire a local guide at the entrance but the story boards are in English and give you a very good description...More

Beautiful fortress with interior uplights. It is a beautiful climb of over 130 steps to the top. The view is spectacular!

In summer, Ajloun is 8:30a-6:30pm. You can find full hours for the main Jordanian sites at jordanpass.jo/Contents/Opening_Hours.aspx
