After visiting Jerash, the Ajlun castle is the second part of a usual daytrip from Amman. The castle offers nice views and it is in relatively good condition. Too bad the upper parts can't be visited but is worthwhile anyway.

This is by far the most preserved castle in Jordan and Middle East , it is located on a top of Awf mountain. When you are at the top of the castle you will have panoramic views of Ajloun and a view at Alquds
