Easily reached within an hour from Amman and well worth doing if you heading to Jarash. We entered using the Jordan Pass. You can hire a local guide at the entrance but the story boards are in English and give you a very good description...More

Beautiful fortress with interior uplights. It is a beautiful climb of over 130 steps to the top. The view is spectacular!

I’m not sure why anyone would try to attack this imposing castle. While you could roar through it, allow at least an hour to take in the experience. Signage is very good but a tour guide would add more colour to the story. The walks...More

History speaks as you walk the castle steps & enjoy the view. A guide could provide further insight yet signage is clear in several languages. There are many steps and is not easily accessible to persons with knee difficulties ..

well, its one rich ruined castle of the great king " Salahuddin ayoobi", hence when you enter the palace you will experience alot of reminisce . beautiful, worth visiting if you really love to see historic places.

In summer, Ajloun is 8:30a-6:30pm. You can find full hours for the main Jordanian sites at jordanpass.jo/Contents/Opening_Hours.aspx
