Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wow not disappointed been meaning to visit for over 20 years.
I missed joey in Romania by days, ok I thought the local people where pulling my leg.
I crashed my bike and missed his last Island race.
So to have a couple of beers in his bar and see the bikes, to chat with the lovely bar staff was brilliant start to my Armoy trip.
May there be many more. Thank you

I got the train to specifically visit this bar in Ballymoney. I was immediately made to feel welcome by the late Joey Dunlops son Gary. The bar is a shrine to the greatest road racer that ever lived. Pictures of Joey in action on various motorcycles deck the walls and two of his actual bikes are in place for all to see, one hangs from the ceiling in the front bar and one in a display cabinet in the lounge. I only intended to visit for one pint but stayed for a few and had great Craic with Gary and a former member of the original Armoy Armada. No visit here would be complete without purchasing a souvenir, and I got myself a Joey Dunlop fridge magnet for my collection. Highly recommend this pub

If your into motorcycles Joeys Bar is worth a visit. Friendly staff and a good pint. Always busy when the Northwest 200, Ulster GP or any road racing is taking place. Near by is a memorial garden for both brothers Joey and Robert Dunlop. A must.......

Stopped by for a pint but did not realise the bar was owned by the family of Joey Dunlop till I was inside. Good a great welcome from girl behind bar and soon started talking to the lady beside me. Did not realise it was Joey's wife. Lovely lady. Enjoyed the bar and will return on my next visit.

For Bike fans a must even if your not, a lovely place to go see the town monuments to the Dunlop Road racing family. If your not impressed you must be a poor soul of an F1 supporter.

Very interesting place to visit if you are into motorcycles like we are. Very good bar, clean tidy and really well maintained as you would hope it to be. One of Joey's bike in the lounge bar and lots of memorabilia including some Trophies and prizes. Very quiet on the Tuesday night we were there, but sure to be more fun on the weekend. Friendly and helpful atmosphere.
