Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A spectacle! These caves leave you breathless. A spectacular walk following the course of the underground river that is still digging the rock. Bring a sweatshirt or a light jacket because inside it is only 10 degrees and after an hour of visiting they make themselves felt. Excellent organization with parking and shuttle that transports you to 'entrance. Our Guide Lorena was very professional, nice and far too patient with those who photographed despite the ban.

It is located in the countryside but there are lots of signs along the road to help you get there. You have to enter in timed intervals with a guide. We looked online, and you can see how many spots are available for each interval. So we started to drive there, not sure exactly which interval we would be on time for, and purchased our ticket once we got there. Our guide was Lara - the tour was in English and Italian. She is very knowledgeable and a lot of fun. She gives you time to take photos at each area, but at the same time, she keeps the group moving along. There is time to ask questions. There is nowhere else in Italy quite like this, so it is well worth the admission fee. The time spent inside was perfect, about 1 hr and 20 minutes. Dress warmly for temperatures about 10 degrees C.

To be said that the place itself is quite scenic and suggestive. But wanting to learn more about its history and deepen the geophysical aspects, the Guide is not up to giving additional information to those 10 peculiarities that in a mnemonic way repeats bell. When asked to translate the explanation into English we were told that he did not speak English and although he wanted to translate independently, he did not even give us time to listen and reproduce...
It was a tour de force dictated by a timing that imposes the massive amount of tourists, subordinating it to the quality of a service that should remain etched in the memories of those who live the experience and not the race.
In short, the place recommends alone, but everything else tourist-wise is still to be built.

The Stiffe Caves are an incredible place in the Abruzzo region. The visit was extremely pleasant thanks also to the excellent explanation of the guide Giulia and the organization of the facility. The caves are a great place to spend an interesting and different afternoon. I suggest buying the ticket online because, given the large influx of people, if you show up at the cave without a reservation there is a risk of not finding a place.

Stiffe Caves upon arrival it is better to have tickets online otherwise the queue is long, however with online tickets you directly access the shuttle (which is included in the price) that takes you to the caves. Unfortunately there is almost nothing like refreshment only a nice refreshment bar near the car park, unfortunately very very expensive (a sandwich costs 8.00 euros). Too much in my opinion... The caves are very beautiful, they cost 48.00 euros for four to visit

For a long time I wanted to see the caves, and the wait has been amply rewarded .. a masterpiece of nature, 700 meters of path between the rocks and the river that accompanies you almost all the way, beautiful! In addition they also do several initiatives during the year, to look good! All accompanied by our Guide, Laura, who passionately illustrated the history of the cave, a young cave (600 thousand years)!

It was a wonderful experience. The only trick is to have proper clothing because inside there is a temperature of 9/10 degrees and you need a sweatshirt and a long pants or they do not let in. A route of almost a km but really worth visiting

If you want to enter an enchanted world, where the sounds of water and the designs created by stalactites and stalagmites leave you breathless, this is the place! We were ecstatic by the splendor of the cave interiors, how the delicate work of man, together with the centuries-old work of the waters, came together to create a surreal and spectacular landscape. Tatiana Guide enhanced the experience with details and sympathy that made the route about an hour, extremely enjoyable

Beautiful discovery: unlike other more well-known caves that we have visited in the past, these are evolving. The river still flows with a magical play of pools, lakes and spectacular waterfalls. The guides, competent and passionate, contribute to making the caves known and appreciated. Other rare pearls of Abruzzo nearby.

The caves are beautiful, we with the guides we found ourselves very well unlike others.
In the cave you will find: tiny bats that you can not take pictures of, stalagmites and stalactites that the guide describes very precisely.
You will have yellow helmets with bats on them, which we recommend you put a hat under.
The cave is still to be explored and the explorers have only reached 700m.
Please take your tickets online and come with long pants and long t-shirt with coat.

Come ci ha spiegato la guida il giorno della visita gli animali non possono entrare per due motivi
1) non è il loro ambiente e non ci entrerebbero mai spontaneamente
2) per proteggere l’ecosistema interno alla grotta
