Stunning beach with calm waters which would be great for families with children . The beach arcs around with trees on the edge of the sands . Spotlessly clean , a joy to have visited .

We started one end of the beach and walked to the other and back. It was relaxing. There were not many people on the beach and our main company were sea birds

Good beach to hang out with the whole family. Ideal for little kids with gentle waves. Soft sand and those trees are just beautiful in early January.

Safe, warm, heavenly. Days on the beach, body boarding in the very polite waves, kitesurfing up the peninsula, walking... really didn't want to leave. Well located for anyone wanting to explore the far North. Has a small supermarket, hardware store, butchery, pharmacy and even two hair salons so you don't have to go far to find everything you need.

Nearby it is possible to hire a boat to go fishing or water ski. The gentleman who hires out paddle boards & Kayaks is very knowledgeable & an excellent instructor with the right... More

During the daytime in peak season it can get a bit crowded with parking hard to find. The place is great for an evening walk and to take some beautiful sunset photos.

Central within Doubtless Bay it has a very nice feel. Between the quaint Mangonui Harbour and the sandy beaches of Cable Bay. Kotare Sands is the jewel in the crown with its long stretch of golden sands.

Staying in nearby Cable Bay, Coopers Beach was our choice for a long beach walk each day.The trees down to the shore line at the far end are beautiful. And plenty of shells for the collector.
