The lake was mostly iced over when we visited but where the ice and cracked it made wonderful surreal images. Surrounding area is just stunning

On our way to Kjenndalen Glacier we drove past this beautiful lake, which is the deepest in Northern Europe. At the bottom they have found large amounts of salt water. But this is a great place to stop for a rest & some food.

Lake Hornindalsvatn is the deepest lake in Northern europe and is part of the municiplaity of Stryn. None of the glaciers streams run out into the lake and this results in one of Europe's clearest lakes.
