So close to home and a little gem. The parklands are clean. The river is beautiful. There are lots of shady trees to sit under. BBQs and bins (although I didn’t see any recycling bins anywhere to use). Pontoons for the kids to swim or...More

Fantastic, tranquil view of the city across the river. Howling sea breeze on the other side of the river, calm and protected on Matilda side. Family friendly. Not crowded at all northern end of the cafe.

Stopped here for another visit whilst in Perth for the weekend recently. It's one of my favourite parks in Perth because of its location right next to the river and the university. Great views out over the Swan River. Worth a visit if you're in...More

This is a great place to relax or just take a moment to chill out while enjoying a takeaway coffee sprawled out on the lawn. Lots of wildlife to be seen from birds, fish, crabs and an occasional dolphin can sometimes be seen swimming nearby...More

I was staying in a nearby hotel & had a couple of hours free before I headed to the airport. I go to Perth several times a year and often walk along The Swan River. I was delighted to explore the Matilda Bay Reserve and...More

We had some problems to find a parking lot, even though it was paid. Eventually, we found a spot. We went for a walk. There were picnic tables and already people were enjoying eating. Nearby was a restaurant as well. The best of it all...More

Apologies for missing this question. The bet time in Perth is mid to late September. Areas North of Perth are best in August and areas down near Albany flower later still. Look at web sites for Kings Park or Tourism WA.

It is at the back of Kings Park by the river and the university. I would suggest referring to a map for the shortest route from wherever you will be.
