Overview
More
Ride quiet surefooted horses, over the breathtaking snow capped Southern Alps and high country stations, through snow fed rivers and alongside Alpine lakes. Trekking on time worn trails that pioneers and goldminers’ used when Aotearoa was first settled. Accommodation is in 100 year old musters huts, shearers’ quarters, historic cottages or the oldest and most haunted NZ pub. Keen eyes may spot wild deer, trout filled ponds and rare NZ Falcons overhead, on a horse you are at one with Mother Nature. Enjoy wholesome, locally sourced, Mount Harris venison, farm fresh pork & beef, High Country salmon, free range eggs, traditional preserves and relishes and good home baking. Excite your senses, step back in time and allow the stress of modern life to blow away in the fresh mountain air.

What a fabulous three days! The horses were well behaved, alert, interested, glossy coated and apple dumped. They worked hard, but were fit and well shod. The equipment was well maintained, the leather soft and supple, with snaffle bits. There were 5 paying punters, and...More
